| Here are the numbers for the three "New" Dawn orders.
New Dawn 95 Knights - The humane and just policies are tough for the majority of the Knighthood to swallow 453 Retainers - The common troops however are inspired by this kind of leadership, and flocked to Sir Roland's banner
Loyal (Original) Dawn 117 Knights - A number of Knights remained loyal to the Grandmaster our of respect for his position and hierarchy 375 Retainers - The retainers having loyalty to the Grandmaster drilled into them were far more likely to remain
Red Dawn 190 Knights - The vast majority of the Order revelled in the power of the common man they possessed through the reign of terror. 125 Retainers - Only the most staunch defenders of the purges remained with the Red Dawn however, most having seen their own families become victim to the ruthless policies.

So these 95 knights are not into the more humane and just policies of the New Dawn? - Quote :
- Red Dawn
190 Knights - The vast majority of the Order revelled in the power of the common man they possessed through the reign of terror. So most of these traitors are rebelling to keep their feared position, not to hold on to the more conservative religious doctrine? - Quote :

So their families are being held hostage, and they join them out of promise for their safety or is this some Stockholm Syndrome where they see their families burned, and they join the guys that burned them?

Figured I'd go and answer these before bed. - That was actually copy/pasted for convenience from an early draft of the roleplay, which its still mostly correct, save for one small change. 1.) Those 95 knights are the ones into the humane and just policies of the New Dawn, it is the explaination as to why they have the fewest knights of the three groups. 2.) Here is where the small change comes in. It's really a healthy mix of the knights being used to the power they have over the common man, and being blinded by their fanaticism to Astraea. 3.) Pretty much, those are the retainers who believe in Astraea's will above all else. If their family members were burned, it was because they were heretics and deserved to be burned. Pretty much fanatics, like many of the Red Dawn Knights.

| With the approval of the RP'heads, I would like to introduce my Mercenaries. I am naming them the Fist of Justice, if I can. They consist of elite warriors from all around Pendor. A good mix of Knights and Infantry and Archers alike. The Fist of Justice have great battle experience and know how to follow orders. They only obey Sir Laralthir and Sir Aranor of the Dawn, once I meet with him. The Fist of Justice are 250 men strong. A lot of have died out in previous battles, thus numbers were diminished. I hope to implement them in the RP'laying with the approval of the RP'heads... 65% Infantry 25% Calvary 10% Archers | |
