Looking at European history I tend to disagree. And which Pendor will descend upon them, when the system collapses and silvermists are busy fighting gauntlets, eventide destroyed and the legion doing their own thing? The first two lines of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms are: "After a long time united, China will divide. After a long time divided, China will again unite. So has it always been and so will it always be". Much can happen in 20 years.

Much can happen in 20 years. We think the king as Astraea's chosen.

Here 'tis: http://threekingdoms.com/001.htmWhoever has the time should read time the book. It's overwhelmingly epic. It's more similar to Pendor that one would think.

| "The kingdom is in chaos. One hero get two companions, assembles a small band of soldiers and offers help to the emperor. They succeed in defeating the rebels and, later, form a kingdom of their own (sort of). Which they have to defend against the other two, while trying to reunify the empire."
There are profecies, court intrigues and battle tactics more devious than those of Westeros. I love this book.
It's Pendor to the bone, I tell you.

| One hero and two companions. Who basically take a long time to fail miserably. Then the Three Kingdoms lose out one is destroyed, the other surrenders, and the third is usurped. It's a nice story though. | |

It's Pendor to the bone, I tell you. This is very off topic, but if you love that book may i suggest the movie red cliff? Amazing fight scenes, and while im sure they embellished some parts it looks pretty true to history.

Well, happy endings are an American thing. The heroes "win" because they have (at some point, at least) the virtues of 14th century China. And the first two lines have already spoilers for the whole book. Political power is an illusion, at any rate. Your majesty the king of Pendor must have found that out already. The movie Red Cliff is worthy if it's the Chinese version (4:30 hours). The European one (reduced to 3:00 or so) is (literally) lame. But dude, the story starts out nice, at least

| Shu, only because Zhuge Liang is there. Be careful, if you speak much about Cao Cao, Cao Cao appears*. And who knows what he may do to Pendor. *. Insider joke | |

| Feel free to continue the RTK discussions here if you wish, lol .. which btw is a fantastic franchise... Just heard they announced RTK XII in Japan, so let's hope it comes state-side sometime within the next 2-3 years.. However, it's worrisome as we haven't seen a title like that, or even an Nobunaga Ambition title in about 5-7 years I think which really stinks .. Especially since the next Nobunaga after Iron Triangle was released on the PS3 I think about 2 years ago .. MP | |

| Thanks guys, i have to take sleeping medications sometimes and i get really weird dreams. Because of this discussion last night i dreamed Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Zhang Fei (Is that how you spell his name) And alot of other people from the book and videogames were doing a triathlon.... Leon Trotsky pulled in ahead without being in any of the dream beforehand and won. After that he started giving a speech in the little amount of russian i know, and Liu Bei stabbed him and took the medal. Anyways, think my sub-conscious is telling me something? | |
