| I'll be away over New Year's, so I'll give you a rough draft of the roleplay I had in mind. You can think about it, discuss it and please vote on it, so we can find out whether and if yes how to proceed with this . Here is a map of Singal with the initial distribution of power between the factions: Purple - Eventide Red - the Brotherhood of the same colour Cyan - City Watch Blue - Singalian Military Yellow - Merchants Green -Slavers - Map of Singal:
Detailed information on Singal can be found here. The Eventide is split between pure and corrupted knights. Pure knights - initially they have no clue that their order is actually led by a coven called the circle of thorns and are always in danger to be manipulated by the corrupted knights, but can much more openly pursue their interests and without fear of killing an ally when cutting down a criminal or a heretic. Can also rely on the local Astraean clergy. Corrupted knights - supported by the circle of thorns and some other covens, they know who is a heretic in the order and who is not, but often find themselves in a tight spot when their hidden goals conflict with their order's official goals. The story so far: In his first line of action in distric 13 Varys gained a guy named Haruch for his entourage. Haruch seems to have always lived in the sewers and knows them better than anyone else the knights have met so far, though only very little is known about him and he is quite the opposite of talkative. Some time ago, a number of captured slavers was found dead in a locked vault and a knight started to investigate the matter, most notably finding a blocked tunnel in the sewers with a seemingly movable wall showing the following symbol carved into the stone: - Drawing of the symbol:
Players would now pick pure or corrupted knights and try to find out about this mystery while struggling with the other factions of Singal for power or alliances and, as events unfold, struggling with each other for control of the order. Troops and resources would be kept to a minimum. Players would usually be on their own, with their personal money (for bribes, special equipment, etc.) being kept track off. They would lead troops only on certain occasions (storming of a bandit hideout, a major fight with one of the Singalian factions), as their superiors would not give them command permanently. I would recommend everyone to read through most of the Singal roleplay so far to get the big picture, let alone enjoy the excellent roleplaying done there by Varys, Celdiur, Azlanek and others. When you have made up your mind, please vote on the matter and/or comment and discuss how we should proceed with this. PS: Thanks to Haegon for devising the Lion/Eventide roleplay that inspired the structure of this draft

| I'd love to join this. I read this RP storyline ages ago and loved it. But well, it's just not going to be the same without Varys and Celdiur...
Does anyone know how to contact them?
And I want an explanation for that "not at all".

| Sorry, but for the reasons I mentioned in my previous post I'm just not interested in following a fixed-scenario RP. I also prefer an open scenario, or a fixed-scenario within a larger, more open setting, and short stories don't appeal to me. Don't take my opinion too seriously though. I was only going to join you in a support role, not actively playing or GMing.

| Pity I do miss your creative style. If we actually do this, feel free to jump in at your leisure, when an appealing opportunity arises I wrote an email to Varys and Celdiur. Hopefully we'll hear from them soon. | |

| Well, it seems we'd have four three players and a host, so that should be quite sufficient. I wrote an email to Varys and Celdiur, but since they havent responded yet I fear the addresses were outdated.
I would ask all participants to present their characters in this thread. Then I will kick things off with an opening scene that introduces the characters to the state of affairs.
I would not bother too much with counting stats and traits and whatnot beyond choosing between Blademaster (fast and agile) and Juggernaut (strong and steadfast) for your characters - everything else (social skills, knowledge, etc.) will be determined by roleplay.

| I'll post something on the TW forums later, it might draw one or two more players.
And yeah, I recall many of the e-mails weren't valid.

| I'll certainly follow it. The Singal Rp was amazing, even though I pretty quickly became too busy with the metagame and everything else to participate much. I guess I would feel odd playing as anyone other than Azlanek, but at the same time I wouldn't want to put a leader into the rp that would theoretically be able to call all the shots. I think it will be more enjoyable for everyone without it. But I am seriously glad that something is being done . | |

Guessed wrong! Now create a character! Iskar: I'll be playing a blademaster (fast and agile) of Barclayan descent. Much like a veteran who crossed the pont with Alistair and Jocelyn. The only name that seems fitting is Sir Alerio. I'll write his history down at a later point, but I assume these are the basics you need?

| Hello everyone, Order: Knight of the Eventide (Pure Sect) Name: Ser Erebus Position: Pure Eventide Knight Perks: - Spoiler:
- Skilled in 2H weapon fighting, purely claymores or great swords - Alchemist, affiliated with poison-making - Has bought interest in certain market stalls (for hiding, product shipping, anything in mind) - Built like an ox (awkward to see him be involved in alchemy, as he is built) -Trained Dog named Rodnep (think of German Shepard I suppose)
Weaks: - Spoiler:
-Strong hatred for Bards - Suffers PTSD from time to time from the Pre-Pendorian Unification Wars/Battles (Some alchemy keeps him sane 90% of the time. Needs to take his medicine though) - Fear of riding on carriages or horses (bad experience) - Belief in a strong Eventide Order - No restraint
Story: Need to think about this, or you's make one. Just let me know

| Order: Knight of the Eventide (Corrupted Sect) Name: Ser Timbo Malberg Position: Corrupted Eventide Knight - Perks:
-Experienced leatherworker -Has connections in the cobbler business, as well as a stake in some shops -Skilled in 1H weapons and crossbows -Likes animals and especially cats; they follow him around if they see Timbo on the streets, because they might get food -(Tries to be) heartless -Herbalist and hedge doctor
- Weaks:
-Suffers from occasional pangs of bad conscience due to his "shadier" business -Timbo's physique somewhere between portly and muscular: physically, he is not a match for most of the other knights who have spent years, or in some cases, decades honing their physique. -Originally a Vanskerry, later a converted Astraean, then became disillusioned and was recruited into the heretics. Timbo feels deep shame when meeting up with Vanskerries due to this rather colorful past. -Mediocre-or-worse rider, prefers to ride the tamest horses available -Sentimental. Cannot desensitize himself to killing. -However, blood is routine to him. -Bad sense of direction -Slave-mark burned into his shoulder
- Story:
Timbo Malberg arrived to Pendor aboard a dragon-boat, accompanied by a troop of raiders clad in iron. After landing on the beach, Timbo was sent ahead to scout by the leader. He got lost, arrived at a small village and was treated there. Then he spent days wandering the coastline, searching for his comrades, but never found them. Finally he was taken by another band of raiders, sold into slavery, and finally arrived at Singal where he came across the Knights of Eventide. Taken by a fancy and a wild hunch, he walked up to a knight and asked if he could join them. They only laughed. So the next day, still forced to wear his slave mark for all to see, he went to take refuge into a local Astraean church. Timbo quickly became engrossed with the Astraean faith through stories told by the devout men and women therein; he was emboldened by tall tales of legendary figures. Of Sers Azlanek and Celdiur Morendor they told, and Sir Aranor, the Shadow-Seeker who had bested the king of demons in single combat: Sir Roland, founder of the New Dawn, was a regular visitor as well. As day turned into night, his masters came to look for him. The devouts of Astraea hid him in the church cellar, tucked within a bag of grain with only a small hole to breathe and see through. After three days of such hiding, only coming out when it was safe to eat and drink, Timbo decided to become a devout as well. Unfortunately for him, that was also the day when his master decided to come in for a little prayer. The short meeting ended in blood and broken bones, visited upon the master in a dark inset on the wall. Then Timbo fled. Unfortunately for him, he got lost again. Somehow, he ended up in a den of gamblers and drunks. There, he heard that the Order of Eventide was looking for the person who had killed a powerful politician inside an Astraean church. Timbo was surprised at that: the man hadn't seemed like he was dead. But then again, it had been dark. So he came up with a plan. Covering up his slave-mark, Timbo set out to find the Knights of Eventide. When he found them - it'd become evening now - he told them he'd found the murderer. So Timbo led them to the same den of gamblers and drunks he'd been in earlier, pointed out a drunk in the room who'd arrived at about the same time as he himself, and watched as the man was snatched up from his seat. Apparently that had been a wrong move, for a dozen armsmen jumped up from the tables around the knights and attacked immediately. Timbo made for cover as the knights dropped their prisoner and drew their weapons. A few minutes of blood-soaked hacking and slashing later, Timbo looked up to see a lone knight standing up amidst dozens of corpses, wobbling slightly on unsteady feet. Timbo couldn't stand suffering, so he went to support the man and help him out of the room. Then, he took him to a herbalist's store, helped the herbalist take off the knight's armour and then paid for his treatment with some money found in the knight's pockets. It was this act that ultimately granted Timbo his squirehood. He became known as a healer in the Order after his promotion to full knighthood. His constant work stitching up people finally got him disillusioned with the faith, and he began looking for alternatives. After some time, he was introduced to the High Council. From that moment on, Timbo was a heretic.

| Is Alerio pure or corrupted?
If I may push you towards something, corrupted would be perfect, seeing as we have one clear pure knight in Sir Erebus and (judging from his story) a probably rather unstable corrupted knight in Sir Timbo (his story suggests he might be oscillating in his allegiance, since he was/is a healer and joined the heretics more by chance than intention).
Lacking more players (unless you want to give it another try and advertise it on the TW forums again), one for each faction and one in the middle between would be good.

| Methodius here from Kingdom divided, just saw this on the POP forums. I would be certainly interested in joining if allowed.
I would play a pure knight to balance the scales i guess. As for my character info, i will go with Ser Tebbe, a knight of Barclay descent with a juggernaut build, he favors weapons that make use of his strength, as such he typically enters battle with a halberd , he additionally keeps a long sword on himself in case he encounters trouble in the smaller alleyways of Singal.
Hope i'm not too late to join and if anything needs to be added or tweaked just ask.

| Just saying, a longsword is too big for the alleyways of Singal But please don't change anything, it will be very fun to see Ser Tebbe cursing in anger as his longsword gets stuck in the walls | |

| Alright, there we go. I restuctured the old Singal board a bit to fit our needs. The Eventide Endeavours contain all the previous roleplay done by the Eventide and after the first few opening posts you can consider most of it common knowledge. Our current roleplay will take place in the Secrets of Singal board I set up, so as not to mess things up with the old topics. | |

Tebbe shares my thoughts, so we'l have see how many walls he'l have to catch before getting a smarter weapon lol.
