I'm processing these things through my brain and they come out like so. I don't need to rely on history - i can always create my own. Romans have nothing to do with Pendor, and although Legionaries are rip-offs from romans the Empire just hasn't got enough troops to do the manipular three-line system, nor does the game even have hasta or pila.

Mind you, Shadow Legion is apart from the Empire. And i'm the first to create working fighting formations / tactics for them, so who really cares?

Maybe you are content with regular history, but my imagination creates new history for me. And when we are not relying on this world, i can exactly say that testudo is a red walking tortilla or a giant dick with a trollface implanted on it, only when we are talking about a fictional world though.

While I won't apply the same rules as the offiical TW POP Boards here, since this is more of a tight knit group of the community of PoP, I still hope people respect each other and naturally take a step back before things do get mighty offensive.

We're here to have fun, not backlash each other out just remember that..

However, if it continues to veer in that direction I'll have no choice but to lock the thread so cooler heads can prevail..

I would also advise to stop discussing OOC the contents of what going on in the other missions because in reality things are just getting taken out of context here without everyone seeing the complete picture..

So please try to refrain from that if possible, and instead depend on those after-action RP reports to fill everyone else who can't see what's going on in these missions soon enough.

nope.. after-action reports, (since you only do them once the event fully plays out), will be posted over on the Taleworlds Boards in the RP thread..

Kind of like you guys reporting to the King's Room the events that's transpired here.. And naturally you can spin them however you like, but keep in mind if the truth gets out on what really did happen, then you could be in for a world of trouble with other Orders, or even the King himself Wink.

I see orders as just the backbone of the command structure, you can fill those orders however you wish. There should be enough freedom in that.

Yes, there are several threads and you can only see the one your order is involved in. There are three battles. The Siege of Ravenstern, the battle at the coast against the Veccavi invasion force, and your liberation campaign.

Would you like to see a map of Pendor with the spheres of influence of the various Orders? Having this "Grand Map" might well lead to some interesting interaction as the various Orders vie for power, all while trying to balance their relations with the King and the nobility of Pendor.

Btw, are the members of knighthood orders allowed to hold fiefs? That would bring up certain conflicts of fealty between being bound to the king as their liege lord and being bound to their order by oath.

Iskar: Well, Cez at least is strongly under Shadow Legion's influence, maybe they even would take orders from the Shadow Legion, i dunno.

Eventually... maybe, for the moment lets keep it simple. Your Order should supply all the arms and armour (and any other sustenance) that you require.

And the map also has influence meters in it? I mean, it shows up regions where certain orders are dominant etc.?

I will be posting an update on each of the events tonight, and will be taking over from MM until they have run their course. Once they are done (and most nearly are) we will progress to the mini-events while the RP gods (as someone dubbed us) plot our next steps and ensure things are more manageable for all concerned next time.

It seems everyone is posting overviews of their orders' preferred battle tactics, perhaps we should do this for the Silvermist, too:

"Arrow between the eyes"-tactic:
how it works: obvious
effect: the enemy falls dead with a bodkin arrow between the eyes.

"Noldor"-tactic:
how it works: "Errm, Aeldarian, there are those guys, you know, could you just... thank you!"
effect: the enemy falls dead with a noldor arrow between the eyes.

"Ambush in the woods"-tactic:
how it works: sit on the trees and bombard the enemy with everything you can find there, e.g. arrows, noldor rangers, bloodthirsty squirrels, etc.
effect: the enemy falls dead with arrows/noldor rangers/bloodthirsty squirrels between his eyes
