Thallo Ver Shures-

Matriarch of Javiksholm I suggest Hearth-mother. The religion itself is based in the countryside, with the Astraean church controlling the cities and villages near the city. Thallo Ver Shures seems to be like a wandering preacher/ farmer religion. It would be mostly instituted in the countryside as you've said.

For church of Astraea,

Venerable Judicator of Valonbray is the official head. Colors would be more of a White, Gold, and Silver.

Or for Astraeaites that are of the Eventide persuasion, how about black gold and silver?

I agree, Aranor. What about the Sacred Grove of Quay as their centre?

Well, Celdiur, the Dawn has White and Gold, what about Black and Gold?

I would rather have Kaveraid or Nomar. If you want to call it a sacred grove, then I would rather have it be a village deep in the forest, away from the main cities. Quay seems to close to Valonbray to be honest.

I don't really care near what village it is. Nomar seems fine. I just imagined the grove to be on the shores of the lake near Quay.

Oh, if that's the case. Have it in Quay. That lake will finally have a purpose.

I presume the Grove would not hold the same significance to the Eventide though?

Its for the church of Thallo ver Shures. Not for Astraea.

Felt the need to share this with you. He was obviously talking about Pendor:

Heres food for thought for you guys (mainly Aranor). We know that demons and various other Hell spawn exist in the world of Pendor, but do divine beings also exist in the same manner? We have demons and devils, so why not angels and saints?

I ask this because ive been playing though Diablo 3 for the past few days and its reminded me of just how badass that angels can truly be. The Heretics may be able to summon forth demonic servants, but can the servants of light call forth the hosts of Heaven? Or has an angel ever descended to the world to battle evil head on?

To me it sounds like a feasable idea, let alone an awesome one. But I would like to hear the input of others on this idea.

And just to make my point, enjoy! (Note: Dont watch if you dont want a major spoiler in Diablo 3 being revealed. If you dont care and just want to see an awesome fight scene then by all means knock yourself out! Smile

I always thought the demons came into the wrold by inhabiting and corrupting a sacrifice made at a ritual.

For the angels bit, i think a more feasible option wold be for the deity to imbue power into someone as a blessing. Like a weapon.

Example: aranor is fighting off an ambush of heretics and he gets a sort of boost from astraea that is visible through like glowing eye or something. No fireballs, just increased fighting skills and perhaps healing.

demons are not servants of Aza Dahaka, but sort of like mercenaries, she can get them into the mortal world, but they have to work for her, if demons sort of exist in an altenate plane like that, then the dragon age version would make sense: ie they realm they inhabit is barely understood, demon come from there, but since they are the majority of cases they are only ones thought to exist, but other beings that arent malignant do live there, however arent hugely interested in our world

Demons don't work for the Snake Queen. She personally empowers her own servants and I believe considers herself a god on Earth or is consider such by her followers.
The Demons are servants connected to Erida Occisor the dark goddess as a reward for their faith.

I am more a "burn it into your soul" kind of guy, but sure, if there is a place in Pendor to find someone willing to put ink on your ass, then it is Singal.

We so need to take Singal. Let's trade, they can give us Singal, and we'll give them Windholm and stop calling them heretics.

Windholm isn't ours to give.

Besides, they can have Singal.

And you weren't supposed to tell them about Windholm not being ours!

Bah, the West is all the same for us Heartlanders anyway. We have nicer beaches here in Janos.
