http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1vjTJTRn48 - listen to this while reading.

You wake up, your journey has been long and tiring, but your faithful steed has borne you through the mountains to this place. Fog flows eerily over the ground, it is impossible to see your feet, and it feels uneven and misshapen. You see a lone horse stand, and tie your companion to it. Jagged trees jut out of the ground around you and form cruel shapes to your eyes. Only the crescent moon lights your way as you press deeper on foot into the forest. A low cracking noise at your foot makes you look down, you see the ribcage of a devoured figure you just crushed. The low blow of the wind through the mountains keeps up a low, haunting wail, like the cry of a banshee. The mist blows in around you, and you walk forward blindly, hands outstretched. The fog shifts away you see before you seven black pillars, encircling the arena. They shift and dance in your vision, and the tug on your soul to this place is stronger than ever, it pulls you further into its clutches, and you step into the circle. You know now that you cannot leave until your tribute is payed. Shambling without will you are drawn to stand by one of the seven pillars, and clutch your weapons, frozen in place, waiting for this hallowed grounds command.

The arena:

The second piller from the left, at its base is a small knight, that is simply for scale and not present.

Special conditions:

-extreme fog, you cannot see the ground, and it is teacherously covered in nameless bones, you will want to test every foot placed, or risk tripping or falling into the murky ground
-The tribute of the dancers, it would be inadvisable to leave the boundary marked by the pillars
-the stone slab in the centre is as tall as a man, it could be climbed on for a great advantage, the mist is thinner around its base.
-this is outside of the RP entirely, use your characters, but dont reference this in the RP (the GM's dont like me bieng supernatural)
-it is technically and arena battle, but the rules are not set in stone, you can do other things than simply fight to the death
-to the death, this is to the death, real sharpened weapons, as i said, this is outside the RP entirely
-no ranged weapons
-cunning will win this battle, not strength

Current contenders: Sir Aranor, Extor commenced

PM me if you want to join in, give me your stats (plus a link to your story so i can verify them) and equipment, rules are here: http://popaftermath.forumotion.com/t365-test-area-must-be-deleted-later

Two knights stand at attention at the pillars, unthinking in a deep trance. A low rumble echoes around the arena and the fog covering their eyes disperses, they are directly opposite each other, with only the stone slab in the middle between them. The mist around their feet is as present as ever, and should only be walked in, less they want to trip and fall.

Belethor, suddenly conscious, quickly draws his sword and raises his shield into a defensive stance as he tries to figure out where he is and how he got here.

Then he notices another person near a pillar not too far from him and decided to call out to him not knowing whether or not the person would answer.

"Hey! Do you have any idea where we are?"

The silent knight turned towards the southeastern pillar, walking slowly while he looked at Belethor through his enclosed helmet.

He held his spear in his hand, with a sheathed sword at his side.

He stopped at the pillar, stomping on a human skull.

"Who are you traveler!" He yelled at Belethor.

The howling of the mountains picks up, you have been cautiously watching your opponent in silence, for whatever reason you had no desire to talk to them any further, distrusting anyone else at this end of the world. The screech reaches awful levels, making you unconsciously grind your teeth. The harsh ring of thunder cackles from the sky, and the slow patter of rain starts banging on your head, drenching your clothes in its icy touch. Lightning arcs down from the sky and smashes into the strange rock in between you, it begins to glow. A red haze covers your vision, and you feel a presence in your mind, sending you images of death and murder, screams and crying, the presence wants you to kill your opponent, and its overbearing influence is almost impossible to fight against

You suddenly awaken at the dead of night in a gutter in Avendor. A gourd filled with a suspect liquid is clasped in your hand, the painful thump of each pulse of blood going through your head is awful. You dont quite remember where you have been or who you were with, but judging by your present condition it must have been intense. You remember going to your bed to sleep, then everything else is fuzzy and bleary. Raising the gourd to your lips you take a comforting gulp, confused as to why you are still in armour. A tall hooded man approaches you and offers his brown gloved hand for you. Despite your considerable weight he heaves you up without trouble and gives a respectful nod to you, and travels swiftly off, quickly lost in the sudden mist. You stumble away, eventually finding your way back your bed, exhaustion is overwhelming, but with the help of a page, you remove your slightly corroded burden and collapse into bed.
