Arena III

Spoiler:

Welcome to Arena III.
To the right and left of both entrances you can see small mounds which rise to 1m in hight. The Slopes down to the middle are covered with loose Gravel and it is very difficult to climb up or down. The Ground is made out of Strong wood covered with 5cm of Sand. The ground can be destroyed, but it takes long to do so and you will fall at least 3 meters (the one who destroys it has to pay). The slope to the top of the mounds from the entrances can be climbed with ease.

Welcome Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, Highborn or Lowborn, Peasant or Knight, Rich or Poor.

"A fight will be upon you. It will be a fight for honor and glory for the one who wins passes to the next round.
We have gathered the best Warriors in all of Pendor to determine the best of them all."

The two gates opened slowly and out of the dark tunnel came 4 Figures.

"At the west entrance we have Lucius Valerius Poplicola, right hand to the Grandmaster of the Shadow Legion and Altair a Housecarl to the former King Valdis the Brave."

"At the East entrance we have Alib al-Ahad, a master of the Blade from the D'Shar steppes and Paul Hoomes, a Brigadier of the Royal Pendorian Army."

The crowd cheered and applauded when the Iron Gates fell down behind the two teams.

[Please RP your Entrance and PM me you Weapons(concealed or open, I will tell you if you are good at hiding your weapon) and stats.]

A loud "DONG!" came from the tunnel leading to the entrance. A few seconds later, the D'Shar blademaster enters, stands in front of the gate, and hits his shield again: "DONG!"

It was an old habit of his tribe to hit their metal shields before battle, so as to scare their opponents. Now, Alib realized, this didn't work very well. He was alone, without other 30 sword brothers hitting their shield beside him. It didn't matter. For also his opponents were alone.

Alib walked straight to the enemy fighters, his shield raised and sword hidden behind it. He was staring intently to the huge Huscarl.

[OOC: can the the enemies reach each other in only one round? If so, I'll edit my post and include an attack as well.]

Paul Homes entered the arena with the discipline of a Pendorian soldier. Ignoring the crowd, he tok a good look at the arena around them. A straight charge or going th long way which woud hand no benefits.

His partner was enrolled in his rituals and didn't notice Paul. Shaking his head he swung his two-handed sword through the air once. And twice. It was balanced enough. It would be a tough fight, especially against the legionnaire. And he would be damned if his weapon was inadequate.

He put the sword in front of his torso and stood ready to start the match.

Altair, the large former housecarl of the Fierdsvain Koningur walked into the arena with axe and shield loosely held. Altair was a veteran of hundreds of battles under Valdis, but he looked older than any fighter should. Lucius Valerius Poplicola, second in command of the mighty Centurions walked closely beside him. He looked eager to fight and his shrewd eyes met every corner before he got his shield up and whispered something to the housecarl. Both lifted their shield and just stood there.

[ooc: I just post this because nothing is happening]

"The Air was ripe with tension. The Huscarl and the Centurion were holding their shields up and their swords ready. Only their eyes looking over the rim of the Shield. Slowly they were advancing. They seemed to act as a single person taking careful steps down the middle.
In front of them was the Blademaster still ready to strike. Seeing that he wasn't able to do anything against the shieldwall he slowly retreated so they couldn't charge him before he could react. Paul Homes seeing his companion rushing towards the enemy was taken by surprise. But he quickly readied his weapon and ran towards Alib.
As he reached him both teams stopped and only stood there waiting for the other to make the first move."

[OOC: please PM me your action again. THX]
