So guys how is the siege of ravenstern doing? And repelling the invaders?

The Siege of Ravenstern finished yesterday. Sir Darlion's report to the king has been written up, and all that needs to be done is for Mordred to read it in public.

Oh boy, can't wait

I think after the events are finished we can have a nice ooc talk about all the good scenes in it, but until then I personally would not want to know any details, as it might affect both mood and decisions in the other events.

Since you all are going to get to read (And respond to) the battle report in a day or two, there's no real sense in keeping out this one detail.

pffft... knights as scouts and sneaks? How dishonorable why couldnt you use them in the repeling of the invaders?

We are Rangers, and we have 5 squads that specialize in scouting and spying. We can't just charge headlong into things like you tanks on horse tanks can. We have to be cunning and careful to win. And of course we were noticed, I posted in the king's hall on the TW forums that I sent them there and a few would stay there to watch the battle.

The extent of the information they were able to gather is for Mordred to decide.

yet the rangers are a respected knight order who wear plate-mail like the rest of us?
Your orders were to repel the invaders, not spy on the griffons to see how the attack went.
Those rangers could have saved lives, men who probably had families, but instead for your own purposes and will to play at politics and deceit you sent them north.

sadly, I'm gonna have to agree with Sir Aranor with this one. lol You didn't really need to know what was happening in Ravenstern.

Right, first claim that the Silvermists are dishonourable for scouting and sneaking and then hope that they shoot the people you don't like in the back. Bloody hypocrites *g*.

To do Caranthir justice:

The five scout squads were sent in their missions earlier and would not have reached the battle field at the shore in time. It is due to their scouting that we knew were the Veccavi would disembark.

Moreover we already sent 100 rangers to the event which is half of our order. That is we were engaged in the whole thing with 125 rangers, i.e. 62,5 % of our order. Did the other orders commit themselves to the cause in such a way?

Well, yes, 300 of 400 shadow legionaries were sent here, so 75 % of the order.

Well, your order's bravery is without question. And the same goes for the Eventide.

If we make it through our event we should definetely get a triumphal march through Sarleon.

Right now they are joining the Veccavian army in disguise. They seem to be quite good in these things.

Besides, it's hard to not worry about our survival when we have just a couple of soldiers (many scouting around Pendor), no squires, no chapter, no castle, and when the king favors our worst enemies - the KOTEG.

But I didn't shoot the Eventide. They were quite competent and reliable back there in the beach battle.

So you defend your actions by bringing up mistakes done by the bad apples in our orders? Sir that is different, the dawn doesnt burn villages anymore, and if that happens its done by a few who stray from the order. But your rangers were ordered by the grandmaster to spy.. and there is a reason that the king favors the KOTEG over you. Once they are given a task they focus solely on it, and dont look at other people to see how they do.

And how dare you call the eventide heretics, that would say that you dont agree with the king's decision to trust them?
Ok yes we have our differences, and there is much bad blood between us, but if the dawn ever calls them heretics its because we are angry and it just slips out. No informant has ever given me concrete evidence that the eventide worship the heretic goddess. So your argument is just a tad invalid, the KOTEG dont "hunt" Noldor for fun, they protect humanity from those tree rats, the ones you so love to worship. May I remind you that b4 M0rdred took power Noldor killed many humans, any that they could find? KOTEG has a reason to hate them. And M0rdred himself founded that order so you better watch your mouth when you speak of them
