PostSubject: Retirement   Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:58 pm

Well, I've mulled it over the past week and I think it's time I just came out with it: I'm going to retire as an active Aftermath player.

As much as I've enjoyed being here, the events of the past couple of months have really soured me on things here. It has a serious effect on creativity. That, combined with other projects in life, have left me distracted more often than not and, as such, feel I would be better suited to devoting my brainpower to them rather than this. I'm sorry to leave as we're attempting to proceed on events, however, I just don't have it in me anymore.

Good luck with Aftermath and have fun. Also, beware of spike pits randomly appearing before you. I probably dug them months ago and forgot about them.

Sorry you feel that way, enjoy the real world! Very Happy

Doesn't this leave Aldric as the only active 'pure' Silvermist?

What can you say.

Taking a look at the bigger picture, we're losing the better role-players as they get tired of the stupid stuff going on in here.

That and the unnecessary OOC drama and bad blood.

This being said, I'll stick here as long as it doesn't get any worse. Because if it does, I've had enough too.

I would ask that nobody attempt to explain it, because that's probably just going to cause problems again. Just know that problems were had, people may or may not have overreacted, and OOC conflicts popped up where they should not have. (IE: at all)

It was basically a disagreement between people. It happens when too many people are crowded in a small place. It happens more often when those people come from very different cultures. And even more often when one can't see each others faces, thus not being able to read their body language, irony, or subtle hints of anger, apology, or repentance.

I hope that you, or anyone else who "retired", see it as a haitus not a permanent departure. Imo its rather sorry to see anyone leave over disagreements in a place like a forum community. Wish you the best Laisha, won't say bye but see you later Wink

A shame to hear Laisha. I'll miss the woman twiddling twigs in her hair.
