I had thought Theo and Marcus were near each other, at the border of the forest, ready to make a feint move to attract snakes into it.

My question was not so much to know where we are, but "what is going on according to your opinion". I think I know, but perhaps you have something else in mind and thus it's best to clarifiy what it is.

For me, for example, this is what is going on: Some ships (an unknown number between 5-200) are about to disembark, but haven't done so yet. The legionnaires in Cez are setting fire to the city and there is a single boat going going south with something bad inside, and, although important, no one has seen it, its contents, nor is anywhere near it.

Checked, Marcus is in the forest. I'm just doing some mapping to get this started.

ah yeah, but theo's in the forests anyway and most of marcus's forces are at the beach actually.

I correct myself. Marcus was near me, then, if I got it right, he went on to beach to make the fake maneuver.

You know, a map would come in handy right now.

I'm traveling through the forest with 20 men. Captain Theo was left behind to set up his men.

Travelling where? And where was Theo left behind? You definitely need a map.

To be exact, our main goal is to draw the Snake Cult forces in the forest to be ambushed by the Silvermist.

Maps are good.

Perhaps we could have only a maximized screenshot from the Cez region in game for the next days, then do something better in a week from now.

I think I could upload one by tomorrow afternoon and we can start writing stuff on it, temporarily.

Here is a starting map of the Cez-area. I would like you to locate any locations you might need (like the rest of the traps).

It's a lot easier to draw maps by hands.

Here goes mine, let me know it if is too confusing.

The large blue dot in the forest is Theo.
The empty triangle is where the 120 Silvermists are spread out, and also where the traps are (imagine it a bit smaller, I realized it's too big).
The tiny pin south of Cez are the 5 scouts running around,
and the lonely dot north of Cez is a ranger taking notes on the ships. He won't participate in the battle.

In red are the traps.
W: a pond or small river channeled to slightly flood the beach once snakes have disembarked.
o: large reinforced spikes (single Czech hedgehogs), under the waterline, to break the ships hulls.
I: Czech hedgehogs everywhere to slow down their movement.

Sorry for the mess, this time we used more traps than usual

The green is the real forest line, I put the hedgehogs into the forest. They're just out of sight when entering the forest. The X is the ship. Those small lines are roads which lead to Ethos, Janos and Buillin.

It appears that Cez is very very small. As the silvermist apparently seem to be occupying an area of forest much larger then a city, if you fix the city up and make it larger that be good. Also idk who made this, but If someone can get a map of inside Cez that be good since half the action is also taking place there.

Cez is separated by the common city and walls, and there are 3 gatehouses leading to the three roads, and a fourth main one leading into a separate walled of center of Kyros Dux's castle.

Psychozoa: You have 2 centurions, 10 legionnaires and 20 retainers along with Sir Mitchell and his Immortals with you.

Ok so I will change my former posts to include these numbers. Right now MM and I are riding with 2 others to the center and 8 of my men are fleeing the city. If there are 20 more its better we stay together I think.

Are Immortals and the Retainers at the baracks or are they right now with us?

It's up to MM to decide about his soldiers. So before deciding about your troops, you should wait for MM to post.

With MM and Psychozoa there are also 15 Clarion rangers, following his orders.

Note that the Strategical maps -thread now contains the map of Cez. Or at least how I envisioned it.

Praven, just one slight note to make:

Do not RP our characters(for example that we feel anxious), just because you are a GM and you feel obliged to do so.

Also, I feel like the traitors are given upper hand here - they know where the legion is, but the legion doesn't know where they are?

Well, I was more describing your troops, they are in a tight spot after all and anyone can be an enemy. But my apologies if that offended you. I'll try to be more careful in the future. And edited it away.

Thanks for the offer! I would like to, but right now I can't... I'm piled up with stuff to do and will have to focus on the on the parallel event. I'm saving my creative thoughts for Theo once the battle begins

If the brigadier survives this initial part, I could take him later.

PS: did the 5 rangers already find a safe spot to climb down the walls? They should blow a horn when they do, so that MM and the dux can pinpoint their location and know where to go if they decide to flee the city.


About his behavior: Silvermists come from all over Pendor and have varied personalities, so you are free to choose whatever you want. Lorewise they usually share their love for the Noldor, a certain calm from their meditation, their belief in Ull'Vetr and are extremely confident with their marksmanship skills, but at the moment they don't have a standard opinion on most of other things. They aren't as disciplined as the legion (they seem to be the most individualistic order), but they compensate that with great flexibility and improvisation.

From my part, I'd just ask you to make him a bit smarter and cooler-headed than the average ranger, since that's why he was appointed as a brigadier in the first place.

And relax Saeros, the rangers don't move at the speed of light and they need to check all gates which are on different sides of the town and if they are guarded, a good spot on walls.

Where are the Legion right now?

Edited it, I remembered the location wrong.

Could I ask someone to update the position of the Shadow Legion troops (main host in the forest, scouting party on the forest's edge) in the map?
