| Laisha stood by the fire, watching the empty doorway. She cast her eyes downward and started to talk quietly, moving toward the door.
Expect the unexpected, Constable, but within reason. Do you deploy an army to find a bandit camp? Do you deploy a squad to find a few displaced shingles? Still, Sir Clarence...
She walked out into the corridor beyond but paused at the first intersection. Sir Geoffrey, what have I told you about listening in on other people's conversations? The ranger freezes in his attempt to flee and slowly turns around. It's no matter. Inform the squad that they'll be needed tomorrow and should rest thoroughly. Also...I'm not sure if Sir Clarence will be up and about tomorrow, or even if he should be. In the event he is still out, however, inform his squad that I will request their aid tomorrow. And get some sleep yourself. I'll need your nosiness to continue this investigation.
With that, Laisha retired to her room.

| The bright sunlight breaks the horizon as the sun begins to rise, oozing through the window of the room, smacking Clarence on the cheek. Upon a short time, Clarence slowly gets up, somewhat in a daze. He could have ordered a breakfast be delivered to his quarters, but instead Clarence decided to practice his cooking. A sharp pain would come every now and again to his head, a reminder yesterday. It seemed like it were a long time ago to him. He wished to recover and help; he was more concerned with his contribution to the knighthood, rather than his injury from before. He figured getting up, cooking his own food, brewing his own tea and wiping his own ass is what someone of his rank should be capable of doing, otherwise said rank is not deserved. This is how he felt. He hardly had the willpower to think about anything else at the moment.
The meal was ready, the tea was brewed, and Clarence lay back in his room to enjoy a fine view of Laria over breakfast.
