| I should think one Silvermist or Griffon per ballista would be enough to ensure its proper use, the rest can be done by the militia. | |

| That depends on their size. I'd say two at least, three would be more efficient.
EDIT: Missed your militia remark. Do we have any with us?

| There's 200 men Dawn militia, who have already helped make the mantlets and chevaux-de-frise. As they are utterly useless in fights I suggest using them for all kinds of work behind the frontlines, such as tending to the ballistae, carrying around the chevaux-de-frise, pushing the mantlets, preparing equipment and guarding the camp during the assault on the walls. | |

| Even better. Each cheval-de-frise needs two men to carry it, same goes for moving the larger mantlets. The narrow ones are designed to be carried by one person. This sums up to 100 men for carrying this stuff.
Another 20 are then needed for the ballistae to carry the ammunition and reload them. The same number should be enough to handle the battering ram while another 20 to 40 men shield them with their board shields and/or carry a protective screen for the ram.
Thus around 130 militia men are left to guard the camp or just take to other tasks that might evolve in the course of the siege.

| I would rather leave about 60 men behind to protect the village, and the rest come with us.
For those 70 men, I would have- 20 placed under the Silvermist's command 20 placed under the Griffin's command 30 for my own personal use.
Try not to use them in fighting... as Iskar said, they arn't good at that.

| i for one would welcome the KotEG to the battleline, esp. since you're infantry shock troops. i think you're going to have to back track or the gm's can tell you how many gauntlets are under your command. no doubt you can make a difference with either north or eastern gate attacks, but if the gauntlets can make good speed maybe they can push south wall with the Rangers? but that would require speed across the battlemap n' coop with the silvermists. | |

| How about the EG go to the south when the silvermists relieve it? The walls would be cleared and they could bring a ladder to help secure that area. | |

| If they can get themselves in a tower, they can hold out until we get them. Other than that, they could spear the assault into the western gate. | |

| We are with the Dawn battle camp, so we could get in position wherever its needed. I'm taking a guess and saying we have anywhere from 35-45 Gauntlets currently there, if you count the ones that just arrived and those that were killed. Point us in a direction and we'll go there.
Remember our specialty is urban combat, so try to get us in the city after someone makes a breakthrough, where we can make the most difference. Until then, we'll be on standby.

| Which I am glad to have . It would also be good to know whether you intend to start the siege as soon as you arrive (as far as I am concerned, you are still at Kulum), or if you will sent forward a detachment with a white flag, hoping to talk to whoever is in charge of the city's defences. | |

- As for the detachment thing; That's fine with me, personally.
