Back Story:
Sir Olar the Slaver's Joy
One of the more shady members of KotEG. A former mercenary captain, He made name for himself by capturing a noldor maiden ranger(now rumor has it that he was not alone and by the time he knocked her unconscious, the maiden had unleashed all her arrows, killing 12 of his men, was unhorsed and with a shild torn apart by a Olar's crossbow, but anyone foolish enough to say it in his presence would get his head cracked open and guess what, if that fool somehow survived Sir olar would visit him again and crack his skull open once more) and selling her to Ramun for a hefty price of 2000 denars, which would subsequently get stolen by none other than infamous noldor assassin lethaldiran himself. The assassin tried to kill sir Olar too, visiting him in his room in Singal tavern and stabbing him in the eye, but just when he was about to deliver a final blow, the noldor bursted in a fancy monologue about how weak and pathetic humans are comparing to noldor, a monologue which would by intercepted by a chair thrown with such force and speed that even a noldor being was unable to dodge it. Throwing the chair gave sir Olar a momentum which he used to call for aid and seconds later his old friend and ale-drinkin-buddy alaric von brouhaha stormed the room. Another second and lethaldiran vanished through the night.
Now Olar was never a handsome man and an eye gorged out did not make him look any nicer. There are good things in misfortune though, as being one eyed helped him to become quite a mean sharpshooter(You dont need to squint while aiming any more!congratulations!). This scar also left in him an ever-fueled hatred towards noldor kind, even if he really deserved what had come to him. For three years to come he would roam the surroundings of Laria, sometimes as a hired blade of duke Alamar and more often as a rogue and treasure seeker, helping various groups to hunt down noldor parties, never daring to attack alone though. Every once a while he'd make a trip to Singal to sell ramun prisoners, including three other maiden rangers, although he would butcher all male noldor prisoners, putting a crossbow bolt in their left eye and telling them to "stand still, I don't want to miss", which would become quite a catch-phrase, gaining Olar more fame, or as some gracious beings would put it, infame.
As to how he was knighted: In one of his fights, he would rescue three knights of ebony gauntlets from a rogue red brotherhood band. When the knights told him about their order and their ideals, he asked whether he could join in. Although impressed by his battle prowess and none the less pleased by his hatred for noldor, the knights held him for a mere rogue and flatly refused. However, he was very insisting and in the end, was mockingly offered trial by combat: if he could best all of them in a trial battle, he would be knighted and allowed into the order. To their surprise, Olar accepted the challenge and even agreed to give them back some of their equipments he looted from red brotherhood party. There are no detailed descriptions of this battle, but according to Alaric's drunken tale he bashed the last remaining knights head with the wooden stick that was left from his polehammer. In short, he was knighted and grudgingly allowed into the order. As knights and Heraldry go, he had to choose a banner for himself now and he choose one with a boar head on it and in a pleasing display of self-irony, the boar had one eye yellow and another white. Five yers have after that and we see a new man: no more a drunkard mercenary, but a respected and able commander, leading one of the detachments of the order at jatu/noldor border. Rumor has it that he still sends prisoners to ramun, although no clear evidences of this fact are found except the pleased look on ramun's face as another noldor maiden prisoner is delivered to him by Olar's former rogue second-in-hand, a vanskerry warrior named Ulfgar No-Purse.

Description: A stout, grumpy looking man with average height and stocky build. Doesn't wear an eyepatch and thus his face is not an easy sight to look at. His understanding of honor is somewhat puzzling: Has never killed a child, never raped women although saw no harm if his men did so, treats whores nicely and always pays them well, but on the other hand he is merciless in battle, had tortured his prisoners, especially noldors, is quick to anger: in his early adventuring days he killed several unarmed men whose only fault was that they tried to reason him or oppose him, including one of his second-in-command Julius, an imperial guardsman turned rogue. He is very cynical and has a twisted sense of humor to boot. Word has it he has fathered two children, a twin of boys and Ramun personally sees that they receive all they need. The identity of mother varies from tale to tale: Some say she was a courtesan, some insist it was some D'shar married lady living in Singal and craziest and drunkest of them all swear that she was a noldor maiden.
He is a very good warrior: strong, but not a mindless brute, moderately agile, balding with short black beard and moustache.
Not the intellectual type (although it is known that he carries books in his backpack and pays bards and skalds with gold to hear their tales), but very clever and quite cunning when it comes to battle tactics (knows lots of cunning and dirty fighting tricks from his roguish past) and a master sharpshooter with his siege crossbow, Aunt Ballistae. Almost Always uses a blunt weapon, polehammer being a favorite. His weaknesses would be lack of skill in mounted fighting as he is an infantryman to the bone. At the tourney in Sarleon though, after he was unhorsed he bashed the hell out of three mounted opponents using the lance as a massive club. Although he was knocked out senseless in the next round, this feat alone made him more famous than the winner of tournament, some pit fighter named Kradus.

Barclay Open Bascinet (he doesnt like helmets that limit his already limited eyesight)

as the armor he wears is very slow, he doesnt run around in the battle, but fires his crossbow and takes 5-6 steps forward after each step. Battlewise, he would own most of pendor infantry in single combat, but would have little chances against Dshar blademaster or a berserker should they get close (which in case of berserker and gladiators is very unlikely)

Weapon:
Fine Blunt Steel Polehammer(ocassionaly a winged infantry mace, heavy great hammer in sieges)
Masterwork Siege Crossbow, Aunt Ballistae ( A gift from Ramun, who purchased it from some renowned Mettenheim master smith)
Large bag of Steel Bolts (a veeery large bag in fact)
Huge Tower Shield (Hello Noldor and Silvermists)
