| Well, he could be all "oh stop it you" to the silvermists and the legion guys and "hey, you know what, you guys suck" to the rest. | |

| Isn't that the way it already is? It's really just that the King likes silver and black. Fortunately Ana wears both, so a new day is Dawning. | |

| Perhaps a friendly death-match with all grandmasters AND the king?
I can oversee only one battle at a time, though (and: barely). So someone else would have to help with that.
But I still propose that all Grandmasters organize an internal fight between their respective players, just so that all understand the rules and propose the necessary corrections before the official tournament.

| I think it would be better with Mastifus or Boar, the King might need to be rather overpowered to account for his position (he did take the throne through force of arms after all, though admittedly it was more tactical acumen than personal martial prowess). Quite tempted to do it with Boar to be honest, he's an interesting character. | |

| But the Boar can't reward anyone who defeats him with Noldor gear. /pout | |

| Azrael vs. Marcus has the potential of ending in this round. After that I could take care of the Boar vs. someone else, or help someone who wants to manage it.
But no special gear. The equipment suggested so far is only sword-and-shield, axe, spear, bow or javelins-and-shield, all of the blunt sort. No armors and no horses.
Who is the Boar? | |

| Commander of the Dragon detachment at Javiksholm. A massive warrior renowned for his exceptional toughness even for a Dragon.
I'm thinking; WP 4 (Dragon trait and personal bonus) Speed 1 (He's a big man... incidentally, is 1 the minimum regardless of weapons?) Skill 1 (I would suggest 2 but to keep the balance went with 1, he is a great Dragon knight more suited to being the middle of a battle than in the command tent. Perhaps Skill 2 with 2 handed weapons?)
Do I announce equipment selection from that list now, or when he starts fighting?

| Renault Vs Boar?
Shouldn't be too hard, Boar would be fighting a cripple after all.

| 1) Attibutes can be zero (benefit of not having multiplications). For example, if someone ever wanted to fight a sarleon armored longbowman, I'd make the latter like this:
wp 1 sp 0 sk 0 The values are weighted by the elite warrior average; they're not absolute values.
For the sake of comparison, I like to think in this way:
sk -3: pendor militia sk 0: pend. man-at-arms sk 3: exceptional skill/mastery. sk 5: twilight knight.
2) you must define the Dragons' typical weapons. Legion and Grifffon have sword-and-shield, and so they get +1 skill with these weapons. What do Aftermath dragons use?
Also, having 0 speed and using an axe leaves him with -1 speed.
3) I think soon enough we will need a special thread only for stats of all players somewhere in the arena.

| Sir Lucius, HERO OF THE KINGDOM WP: 5 SP: 5 SK: 5 - Spoiler:
SO my character has an old injury, which reduces his WP from the gauntlet normal of 3, He's a little faster than most gauntlet knights, and he's extremely skilled with a shield and onehanded weapon (not spears), he's also good with the lighter twohanded weapons, but not as good. Not sure what to make him other than 2 wp.

| I think it would be quite similar to the duel in Book 4 of Song of Ice and Fire. - Spoiler:
Red Viper vs The Mountain.
I utterly hated that chapter, though. - Spoiler:
Oberyn was an amazing character that deserved to live at least a full book. If it weren't for the idea of losing Peter Dinklage in the TV show, I would have been willing to trade Tyrion for Oberyn's life. He's an excellent commander in the Game of Thrones board game too.

Truly loved it! Even Jaime Lannister would not have defeated Gregor Clegane when he still had both hands.

| - Spoiler:
Jaime has become my favorite character. Irrelevant details aside (Like Syrio having hair) the casting has been simply amazing for the TV show, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is perfect fit. I normally hate men with facial hair, but he even looks better with the beard in season 2!
We need a Jaime the Dawn Knight. Someone put out a recruitment request!

| This talk of A Song of Ice and Fire really should be put in spoilers. I'm half way through the third book, and one just can't help taking in details they don't want to see when it's all out in the open like this.

| I like the tales of Dunk & Egg more.. But I am a huge fan of the Targaryens.. Prince Aemon the Dragonknight is the reason I wanted to become a Griffon The Blackfyre Rebellion, Bloodraven with 1000 eyes and one... it is all so greatly written. Edit DD: I'll remember it the next time luckily this post contains no spoilers.

Sorry about that! I tried to keep the details in spoilers, but I forgot with GRRM's writing style that a couple of names can spoil a plot.

| Have any of you played the Game of Thrones board game?
Even though there are dozens of boardgames to mimic the metagame, I keep thinking of that one in particular.
The Frozen north that nobody bothers with, the rich East, the contentious West... but the Martells would be geographically like the Shadow Legion!
