| Letter to Iskar- Spoiler:
Constable Iskar of the Silvermist Rangers
Constable, the Gauntlet requests persmission to send supplies to the settlers in the Jatu Steppes. As winter is closing in, we believe they should be supported by all orders, despite any disagreements they might have.
Sir Lucius Aurelianus, Grandmaster of the Ebony Gauntlet Letter to elders in the settlement effort- Spoiler:
Honoured sir
As you no doubt know, this winter is expected to be an extremely harsh one, which will test the resolve of people throughout the land. The incomplete state of settlement efforts in the Eastern Steppes has compelled the Gauntlet to aid you in any way we can, as is our duty and calling. Therefore, we are attempting to send you supplies, which will be equally distributed throughout the prospective villages in the area, in the hope that they may soften the blow of winter and prevent as many problems as possible. The supplies will be accompanied by a number of knights, who will also help to gather in any final harvest that needs collecting.
I have no doubts that men and women of your courage and skill will prosper in time, but no man is master of the elements.
Sir Lucius Aurelianus, Grandmaster of the Knights of the Ebony Gauntlet,

| - Iskar's reply:
Grandmaster Aurelianus,
we can assure you that sufficient measures are already being undertaken by us, not sparing any expenses. However, more supplies are better for the steppe dwellers than less, and if you still wish to send the supplies you can send them to us, so we can distribute them among the steppe populace.
Yours Sincerely
Iskar Levellin, Lord Constable of the Silvermist

| Another letter to Iskar- Spoiler:
Constable, the Gauntlet would feel more assured that its efforts were reaching the right people if it was allowed to organise its own delivery of supplies. The Steppe does not belong to the Rangers, and our orders may have different perspectives on who most needs aid.

| - Iskar's subsequent reply:
Grandmaster Aurelianus,
we will make sure that the village elders give you independent reports so you can check whether all your supplies reached the steppes. As for the distribution, we know the steppes best, we built all the castles there and founded all the settlements. Furthermore we have already undertaken extended efforts to prepare the steppes for the winter and will thus know best where additional supplies would be needed in contrast to your knights that have no experience with or knowledge of the steppe.
Yours Sincerely
Iskar Levellin
