Yep, do as much damage as possible while they are in disorder and thus vulnerable to attacks.

I haven't mentioned the casualties but it is more than 10. The ballistae also caused other benefits...

I've heard than a balliastae, its arms strengthened with bronze plates, can hurl bolts up to a mile away. An experienced crew can probably release about three bolts a minute.

Perhaps this could be a feature that could be taught in the Royal War Academy? Say, after serving for a set amount of time, the crew gains experience and their shot rate multiplies?

6 months --> 0,5 shots per minute, for example?

Also, training in Royal War Academy grants extra +0,5 into firing rate perhaps?

I meant what do you want to say with the latter part. The only thing coming close to Royal War Academy is P.A.S.W. as far as I know and it sounds like you are making suggestions for me.

My intention was to make clear that the ballistae won't get any extra shots per turn since the bowmen don't get those either. If you took offence, I'm sorry.

And yes, Pendor Academy of Siege Warfare (+ other general stuff we come up with). As to the suggestions, it could be interesting but difficult to put into practise.

In the basic sense, yes. This can change according to other actions taken.

I am guessing that a turn is more like a set amount of time firing arrows with the corresponding casualties reflecting this, in the same way as a round of melee is not just one sword swing.
