Perhaps we best take the discussion about the event's progress here. How about each player lays out their intentions and plans for the battle or whatever they want to do during it and then we have one bigger halfway-through-result, so everyone can adjust their plans and then there is the final report?

I would like to do that, yes. However, it is just one vote.

What do the players think?

I think my tactic is clear. The problem would be the big battle outside. If you give all your orders for the battle now you cant react on the mistakes of the enemy. Or you have to think of all possibilities and write reactions to that.


My Plan is to advance in a Shieldwall until we reach the barracks. Defensive attitude to everyone we encounter. Scout the Barracks. If they have prepared we advance slowly and let the silvermists kill them from afar. If they don't expect us we storm the building. I will not, unlike Marcus, engage in 1 on 1 combat with their leader. Capture as many as possible, anyone who restist will be killed. Thereafter scout the outside situation and try to help the main host at the battle. Most likely move along the waterside Flank as a bulk and try to crush the flank and with that their retreat.

Theo will follows Marcus' orders and request or force the Legionnaiers to open the gates. What he will do next will depend on what happens.

Likewise, my tactics are rather obvious. Assuming the army can sweep the enemy off of the beach, I intend to hold the enemy there as any more ships attempt to disembark. Then I would probably end up moving my reserve unit to Cez.

However, I share the concern over being able to react to opportunities and problems that may arise. There is a lost dynamic when you pass that over. I suppose I won't complain regardless of which path is taken.

By the way, Marcus, I know you walked away at the end of your post regarding Geoffrey, but he did address you directly again. Marcus could have heard it or Geoffrey could have been talking to himself, though, I suppose....

No reason not to break it down into stages like was done in the Veccavi Invasion. So action / reaction x4-5.

I would break it down to;

1. Opening Stage
2. Counter Manouver Stage
3. Assault Stage
4. Flanking / Deviousness Stage (if this occurs)
5. Assault Stage II
6. Breaking Stage
7. Aftermath

I'm not sure how my special ops squad will fit into it, but I'm also okay with that.

Each one of you who commands troops. Take the map of Cez area and draw your units (number of troops in each one) there, then send it to me. We should then have a map with the positions of all troops, makes things smoother.

Oh my, looks like all Silvermist players involved into this at least temporarily left. Would you guys (especially Pravenstern) be fine with me taking control of the troops via an appropriate NPC so we get things moving again?

You outrank me, it doesn't matter what I think.

But it doesn't make a difference who is the one getting raped is drawing this battle to the obvious conclusion.

Ranks are relative and since you're the host and I would join as a player it does in fact matter what you think.
