red dawn have 190 knights, 125 retainers, maybe a picture of them raiding a village or fighting peoples revolt - so that it looks like killing innocents

I don't imagine Gregory to be a common sight on the battlefield though. He is a cleric and a politician, not a warrior.

There where Popes who took to the field of battle rather than sit in the Vatican. He is batshit (crazy), so maybe he just thinks he can fight. Anyway he is probably more of a figure head for the army, to inspire it.

And he looks fucking awesome

He does look pretty sweet, and well maybe he can join the battle, if its VERY IMPORTANT
