| This is for quick reference in an eventual arena event or inter-order fighting.
Let us all be reasonable and not overpower our characters. Be honest and stick to your bio. All devs and grandmasters have the power to question your numbers and demand explanation.
Be aware that the method of fighting will suffer slight changes (e.g. having some movements depend on speed instead of skill, etc.). So any attempt to exploit the mathematical calculations for your profit will only end in bitter remorse and an invitation to the Dawn's interrogation chambers.
Please try to post only once and discuss everything else in the proper OOC talks. This thread is here to prevent mess.
Some samples to enlighten you (as well as myself). Note that some skills cannot be translated in numbers. Being an awesome rider, good with stealth, a master blacksmith, or the best engineer around doesn't t mean anything. You will have to RP those traits.
Remember that we are always open for suggestions on how to improve the method or being more faithful to the lore.

| I'll start with my own, posting stats + short info, with contextualization and some things on my fighting method. Hopefully everyone will do the same, so that we can all develop strategies on how to defeat each other when the time comes. Theo Venator WP 1 Sp 2 Sk 2 Theo is one of the worse archers in the Clarion Hall. Conversely, he is also one of its best swordsmen. He is known to have always preferred close combat, if given the choice. Or so he wants you to think. He fights with two swords. He was never seen using anything else than a bow, a longsword, and a two-handed sword. He is a silvermist, and therefore he is weak. He is agile, as most silvermists are. Still not as agile as the assassins He is exceptional at swordfighting.

| Ana Sulran
Base stats
WP 2 SP 2 SK 1
Ana, as the daughter of a Fierdsvain nobleman, was afforded a martial education. As the only child, she received particular attention, and excellent equipment. Unable to compete out of strength, she found she preferred not to absorb blows with a shield. To compensate, Ana found she had a natural talent for the spear. Quick and accurate, she is as deadly with a spear as any knight is with a sword and shield. A natural rider, she has developed her mounted spearplay to an exceptional level. Unlike most valkyries, she has only dabbled with axes and prefers not to throw the weapon which she is best.

| Aelos, squire to Sir Kamos.
WP 2 SP 1 SK 2
Aelos excells in the usage of one-handed swords, but is average with most other weapons. He likes to use a shield to smash others around (As used in the Laria event on untrained unarmored smallfolk, It would not work as well on trained fighters). He spent much of his childhood fighting duels, and would be considered an experienced duelist.
Fights only with sword+shield combo. This means +1 to SK, (griffon bonus and personal bonus) And -1 for SP, for the shield.

| Sir Arduin "The Boar", Commander of the Dragon detachment at Javiksholm. A massive warrior renowned for his exceptional toughness even for a Dragon.
WP : 4 (Dragon Trait + Personal Bonus) Speed : 1 (He's a big man, not especially fast) Skill : 1 (2 when using a 2 handed weapon or a shield as a weapon)
The Boar will fight with either sword and shield, or a two handed weapon (normally a mace). With the two handed weapon, he will unleash a wild onslaught, drawing on his incredible stamina to wear his enemy down. If he uses sword and shield, he will use his shield as the weapon, employing numerous shield bashes to force his opponent from their feet. This is a technique he has perfected over the years, and so displays greater skill when trying this. He is however a terrible rider, preferring to remain on foot during battle. He will often ride into the fray with his brethren, then dismount to fight.
Little is known of Arduin's background, save that his discovery by Sir Mastifus is already a tale of legend. The unconscious young man, grown to the size of a 20 year old, but only aged 11 was found surrounded by dead mystmountain warriors in the smouldering ruins of his family home somewhere in the Ravenstern highlands by the Grandmaster and a patrol of Dragons. He had 7 arrows buried in his body, with a broken arm, four broken ribs, two missing toes and a fractured skull. Beside the mess of his face was a spear, tip buried in the snow, an amulet bearing a wildcat claw swinging from its haft, in the manner of the Mystmountain salute to a brave warrior, spared from death for their courage.
The young lad was unable to move for several months while being tended by Radiant Cross medics, paid for by the Grandmaster himself. When he recovered, Arduin was taken as Mastifus's squire, his first ever and on his 18th birthday entered the Order as a full knight.
Arduin is massive, nearly reaching 7ft tall and with shoulders to match it is rumoured that his father was in fact one of the giants believed to live in the far northern mountains among their Mystmountain kin. The fractured skull of his youth damaged the pain centre of his brain making him impervious to pain and able to take wounds which would kill a lesser man. his ubiquitous nickname comes from his style of combat, where he will outlast even the most tenacious opponent, eventually forcing them off their feet. He will then crack them on the skull, normally killing them. If, however they have fought bravely, he will pull the blow and knock them out instead, leaving a wildcat tooth by their head.

| Sir Renault, the crippled knight-commander of the Griffons. Leader of the Griffon forces sent to Javiksholm, and current commander of the small force still residing there.
WP: 2
Speed: -3 (With a leg that doesn't function, it is hard for Renault to get around at all. His armor can lock into place at the leg to provide some support)
Skill: 3
One of the original Griffon knights under Darlion, Renault is a veteran of more battles than even his Grandmaster. Although, some might say that he was struck in the head one too many times over his life, with an aloof personality that not even Darlion can get a grasp on, Renault is an oddity at best, and frustrating beyond measure at worst.
In spite of this, before his leg injury he was one of Darlion's most skilled warriors, and indeed one of the most valued voices at his war councils. His days of storming castles ended when a Sarleon Halbardier nearly cut off his leg, but he still takes to the battlefield as a commander, and is one of the most valued trainers of recruits for the Griffons.
In the arena he puts his five decades of experience to good use, using a Javelin and Shield for versatility to make up for his lack of mobility. He may not be able to take out the Grandmasters, but he has no trouble showing the younger knights a thing or two.

| Marcus, the "Shadow Fighter", Grandmaster of the Shadow Legion.
WP : 2
Speed : 2 (-1 if carrying a shield)
Skill : 3 (Personal Bonus)
Possibly one of the best fighters single fighters in all of Pendor, save from the Noldor, Marcus has always had natural talent for combat. Aside from swordplay, he has been seen using spears, axes and even his shield to overcome opponents in battle. Reality is, however, that he is absolutely deadly with a sword. Being quick, agile, and skilled in battle usually works out in his way; there aren't many people to match him in these areas. The various forms in swordfighting come near instinctively to him; in fact, he hardly has to think.
As to how he rose to be a Grandmaster, many don't know the full story. It is said that he was promoted, as a young, promising officer, after a horrifying incident where the fromer Grandmaster and fifty of the legionaries lost their lives against a full Snake Cultist army. It has been wondered how the man survived the army that after the incident ravaged the lands for months until it was put down by the very same man who escaped them that night, yet his rule was never questioned. He turned out to be a firm, confident Grandmaster, eager to root out the Snake Cultists forever; the old supporters of Marius gave their support to him almost instantly, some even ending up being recruited to the Order, the rest acting as the Legion's very own private army in Cez.

| Ser Varys the 'Spider'
(Is it possible for him to have shortened javelins?)
WP 2 ( Eventide) Sp 3 (One of the Eventide's shadow lurkers) Sk 1 (Eventide martial training/To make up for his speed)
Varys is one of the Eventide's more shady members. Little is known about him, other than the fact that he inherited a large sum of money from his parents, and that he received quite the martial training as a child. He excels in the use of a spear, as his speed allows him to use it to full effect. He also knows how to use throwing weapons effectively, and to good use. He is not the best duelist, nor has he had much practice, due to his rather unorthodox method of dealing with rivals.

| Seeing that a Noldor Ranger has speed 4 I should think 3 would be a bit much for a knight of the Eventide, even with Varys's layout.
Iskar Levellin, Lord Constable of the Silvermist
WP 1 (rather slender) Sp 4 (one of the best human archers in Pendor, probably only surpassed by Caranthir, therefore almost as agile as a Noldor) Sk 1 (neither strong nor fond of close combat, if ever he uses a spear to keep his opponent at a distance)

| Sir Azrael is a son of a weaponsmith. He always tested his creations before giving them out and capitalized on his fast learning. As such he has attained some skills during the course of his childhood. His time as an adventurer was no different and it was during that time that he learned real skills
WP 2 (not really weak but not bulky either. Forging is tedious business, though) SP 2 (Is skilled) SK 2 (Has a wide range of skills with weapons)
Griffons specialty (+1 SK when using): Sword and shield,
- Pragmatism. Old habits die hard, Sir Azrael learned some interesting tricks as an adventurer. His weapon of choice varies.
Weaknesses: - -3 to SK when using ranged weapons. Sir Azrael's long range sight detoriates when trying to focus on target far away. Not to mention his lack of practise with such weapons.

I suggest that you dumben it down a little, although it's not up to me what you do with your character. Take a look what the rest of us did. There's no fancy +'s or -'s for different weapon combinations. (Griffons have the sword & shield bonus though)

| Sir Aranor, Demon-Bane
Sir Aranor, grandmaster of the Dawn. His name is known throughout all of Pendor and beyond. Whether the name is met with praise, fear, or mockery is another story. He has practiced the art of war all his life, from birth he was molded by the masters of Barclay, and he sharpened his skills in his adventuring years in Pendor. He has fought everything there is to fight in Pendor, from the Vanskerries of the western shores to the Jatu battle riders of the eastern steppes. He is known throughout the land as the warrior who slew Eyegrim the terrible in the battle of Wygrove Moor. His sword is said to still have the stain of his blood.
He has fought in Arena fights before, from the lavish royal tourneys thrown by the rulers of Barclay to simple combats in the pit fights of the Fierdsvain.
He is honor-bound by the Barclay code of chivalry. He shall not kill in the sight of the king, and will always honor his opponent with a fair fight. He prays to his goddess before each fight for success.
WP 3 (This dude kills demons. The constant warfare that he has engaged in has tempered him into an exemplar of martial skill.)
SP 2
SK 2 (He has trained with a variety of weapons in his career, as both a knight and an adventurer. Gets a -1 whenever 2-handed weapons.)

| Sir Merzinas, the last lord of Erstinat. - (Merzinas is an official knight of his homeland, but not recognized officially in the dawn yet)
Wound Points: 2
Speed: 2 - (Edited to 2 from 3)
Skill: 1 (hes only a teenager, and no way near the mastery of other knights)
His tiny charge in the mountains of Barclay, Erstinat was really just a village that everyone forgot about, allowing them to remain autonomous from rule for several hundred years under the simple rule of Merzinas' ancestors. However in his twelfth year of age an unknown horror slowly started murdering the villagers, his parents, the sole guardians they had, rode forth to find and kill the monster, they never returned. In a final pitched battle, the creature was killed ultimately by Merzinas, but at a terrible price, only he left that day. Travelling stoicly away from his home, his trek took him alone over the civil wars of Barclay and the peaks of the mystmountains, ultimately serving as a bounty hunter in Pendor untill a dying dawn knight sealed his debt to his current order.
Merzinas is by far one of the smallest knights of the realm, standing a full head shorter than the average man, he makes up for this weakness in his dogged determination and stoicism. He relies more on his cunning for winning than his sword work, as training with weapons was simply not something he had time for, subsequently his experiance with sword and shield makes them his only weapons of any ability with, he is also able to shoot a bow, but without any real accuracy or draw.

| Jareth Meraxes:
WP: 3 SP: 0 (- 1 for the shield) SK: 3
Jareth carries a strong Metal Shield and a Longsword into Battle. Normally he also has 2 throwing axes at his side.(if they are allowed I take them with me if not I try to hide them in my shield). Through his years of training in the Barclay army under his father he learned much about battle tactics and became renown for his skills through all of the Barclay main land. He is disgusted at the slaughter which is involved in the Frontline fighting. So he pervected his technique of Sword and Shield. He has very strong arms and legs and can withstand multiple heavy blows at his shield. He is waiting behind his shield for an opening in the opponents defense to strike for the vital organs of the enemy or at his legs. Through his strenght his throwing axes become very deadly. He can asses situations very fast and adapt his plans nearly immediatly.
Yeah my flight is delayed...hooray......

| Sir Celdiur Moriendor, "The Black Paladin of Singal", Knight-Chaplain of Eventide.
WP: 3
SP: 1
SK: 3 (Possibly only 2 though. I read somewhere that the Eventide will have a +1 bonus with swords and shields in the Arena. If this is true then probably 3. If not then its definetely a 2)
Celdiur is a man made hard as stone by the trials he has faced throughout his entire life. The wounds he sustained during his rage driven quest for vengeance, as well as exposure to the various elements all over Pendor, made him exceptionally hardy, able to take blows that would kill most other men with confidence. Though no longer motivated by blind, psychotic rage, Celdiur's unquestioned faith in Astraea has filled the void it left behind, replacing uncontrollable anger with righteous belief that the Goddess will protect him from all assailants, and that any wounds he takes will be overcome by his unwavering faith.
His years spent in the wild, waging a guerilla war against those that slaughtered his family, kept Celdiur active and strong, and to this day he still retains his speed and fitness even whilst wearing his heavy plate armour.
For the most part, Celdiur is a self taught warrior. His father taught him the basics, however Celdiur honed his skills during his quest for revenge. They were far from refined however, and it wasnt until he joined the Eventide that he was taught the true art of combat, trained to the standard that they expected, thus making his skill above that of the average soldier but nothing special as far as Order knights go.
When in battle Celdiur wields his father's Ebony Bastard Sword, along with an Ornate Knight Kite Shield. He also carries a one handed Iron Mace that serves as his "priestly" side arm, for when bloodshed is not on the cards (much!) His skill with the lance is more or less the same as an average Order knight, nothing fancy.

Zekic Thunion is a very strong fighter, especially with 2 Handed sword, he is extremly strong and durable, however lacks in strategy aspect, and not very good at thinking of new strategies on spot(except when it comes to using something as big shield) Have no clue how to use shield except for charging with shield, and then throwing it at opponents, also can hold 2 handed sword with one hand, but wouldnt be able to use effectively this way. Also due to rarely using horse, got very good stamina.

| Lady Laisha, "Whisper of the Clarion Call"
WP: 1 (Light and fragile, one blow will generally put her out) SP: 3 (Light of foot and quick of mind) SK: 2 (Skilled enough with the sword, better with the bow)
Laisha learned, from roaming the forests as a child and the instruction of her uncle, that she would never be built as a strong, powerful knight. Instead, she learned to be quick on her feet, analyzing the ground for even the slightest advantage of terrain, whether she sought a rock on which to pivot and dodge or a small pile of shifting sand to unbalance an opponent. Thus, among the Clarion Call, Laisha was considered among the fastest, if not the fastest, on foot. After the re-establishment of the Silvermist, many of her brethren felt her more suited for that order than the one she was in.
Under her uncle, she learned the art of swordplay, but never could handle a shield properly, finding one a frustrating encumbrance rather than an asset. Her only defenses are her speed and her slowly growing talent with a sword. In the field, however, she is far more likely to use her bow, a talent she has practiced for nearly two decades, to silence enemies from afar, preferably from places from which they will never see her.

| Thanks for the info.
WP:1 ( I may be the grandmaster, but I'm still a Silvermist and don't intend on getting hit. Ever.) SP:3 (I am capable of great (4) speed, but prefer to be more precise) SK:3 (I can tone this down if it makes me too strong, but I aim to be as accurate as a Noldor in close and ranged combat)
Caranthir is the Grandmaster of the Order of the Silvermist Rangers. He fights with bow and bastard sword, preferring a balanced blade to clumsy axes and maces. His skill and speed are surpassed only by the Noldor, though he trains more with the bow than the blade.
Possible weapon modifiers : -1 SP and SK with unbalanced weapons, namely axes and maces. I can fight equally well with twohanded swords as with onehanded, though I prefer the former (it lets me carry more ammo).
If there be any issues with this or thing I have overlooked, feel free to PM me or post about it in the Arena forum.

Isabel is a trained and experienced soldier. She's quite quick, but is not at the same level as the faster of the Kingdom's Finest. She primarily fights with a sword and shield, though is proficient enough with a crossbow, as well as at lancing. She'll sometimes drop her shield to adopt a faster style.

WP: 1 (primarily because he is from the Eventide) SP: 2 SK: 2 (If he has a one handed sword, daggers or a one hand ax)
Heavy armor is cumbersome. Thash would much rather dodge the big clumsy piles of armor and stab up the helmet. He loves light weapons and a light cloak. However it is asked of him or in a large battle he will begrudgingly put on the heavy Eventide armor.

| Sir Varis Tyrus Dawn Knight-Commander
WP: 2 (knight armor and hardiness of a seasoned veteran) SP: 0 (low due to age and armor penalty) SK: 3
Penalties SK: Ranged (Bow) -4 Ranged (Crossbow) -3 Ranged (Javelin) -3 WP: Blood-sickness -4 ( for a short period of time, once every year)
Varis is a grizzled old veteran, the byproduct of decades of training, service and tradition in the Dawn. Proficient in the standard weapons of his order (lance, sword, shield, dagger), Varis suffers penalties in ranged combat because of its absence of use among the cavalry-oriented warriors of the Dawn. In his younger years in Barclay, Varis practiced ala retallada falcó, the Barclasian dueling form of the clipped-wing Falcon. The form is impractical on the battlefield, but Varis still keeps a companion dagger on his persons and practices on its form from time to time.
Their are rumors that the old knight is suffering from a mystical sickness, or some unknown ailment that affects him annually each year for a short period of time. The sickness is said to be tied to a scar on the knight's cheek, a would inflicted by a dark adversary only known by knights personally close to him.
