| @Psychozoa: Indeed. They seem to be a bit nervous and prickly as of late @Isabel: 33 legionnaires in a city of at least 10000 inhabitants, not even allowed to enter the castle with arms as a potential threat to the peace? Really? See the above comment... | |

| 33 Knights is a lot in Pendor numbers. The IC decision was made, if you want to argue it OOC, either wait for Mordred to settle it... or argue it with DD tomorrow night. I tried to address the issue of the wounded so the scene could continue, if that isn't acceptable enough, I can't do any more to help the scene move... which means we have to wait for Mordred and/or DD. | |

| Even I don't understand the fuss about 33 legionares... The Castle is guarded by the entire Griffon force stationed in Sarleon. including the never leaving Royal Guard. And then there is this small force of castle guards that even stationed the off-duty guards to fully patrol and protect. Not even an army of 100 elite legionares (not wounded) would be able to breach the front gate.

- It doesn't much matter what arguments are made. As duke of the city, Darlion must protect the peace. 33 knights of an order arriving at the city during a trial of a grandmaster for treason has the potential to be quite the problem. That is why the majority are barred. The wounded can be treated, a small number can enter as the retinue of Marcus. That's what DD has decided with Darlion.
If you don't want to accept that, it will have to wait.
Let's try to keep the hurt feelings IC, we've had a great event with some apparent misinterpretations that will soon be clarified. Maybe if they were dawn knights, and if they were a much larger force.. This is the Capitol, most of your order is sitting in the chapter house, the only groups you should worry about causing trouble are e merc companies getting drunk in the taverns..

Except Darlion doesn't want to be King, he was already offered the crown by Mordred. And they're both Snake Cultists already...

| wtf Mordred offered the crown to Darlion, I think I missed that somewhere....
but it sounds much like treason, Mordred is trying to dispose Mordred of his throne ---> arrest him and dispose him of his throne

Executioner Arthur made his way towards the Silvermist barracks, he was ordered to kill every wounded legionaire and search for signs of the Red Plague, if he found them, he had to kill the carrier.

Its one of the reasons DD originally became a GM, because his character was almost an NPC already. I found that thread earlier when I was reading the old stuff in the OOC section.

| Strictly speaking, if we treat Pendor knights like real knights, 33 of them ready for battle entering a city would be a goddamn huge deal. Whether that huge deal would be made is down to the person in charge of the city/guards. | |

| Oh, Tubby. Were you able to take part in any of the horse related activities in Hungary? I know you weren't there long, but there are so many of them! I went in winter though, so none of them were available except an all-day sleigh ride which we didn't want to burn a full day on. | |

| I've sadly never ridden a horse. (Okay, once at the fair when I was like 5, and it was harnessed to a giant wheel and we just went around in circles. I felt sorry for the poor horsey!) I wanted to in Hungary since they made several of the outings sound so fun... things always seem better when you are told that the first thing to happen is you will be given a shot of hard alcohol as a welcoming gesture. Next time, maybe! I'll also take a notebook to their museums to properly take note of all the inconsistencies with my education... like the 1956 revolution not being a total failure for Hungary, according to their national museum. Kazahkstan is my next target, once I win the lottery and can take up falconry on horseback. Edit: I will take up falconry, but I won't actually let it hunt anything. I like bunnies, so I will just have a robotic one for it to hunt. Then I can be shocked when it comes back with a pigeon or something instead. >.> | |

| I am a bit confused as of how much time passed in the cel IC Scene.
Calling it closed now, because I think we'll start with the trial soon. Characters arriving at the former bedroom of the mistress will be challenged to a duel by the grieving fool that used to entertain the young Sarleon lady when Ulric was off fighting.

| I only saw Almaty when I was in Kazakhstan, I arrived there and spent 3 days just walking around town, I think I saw more War Memorials than in Germany combined and everyone more beautiful than the last(if you can talk about beauty in that context).
I definitly want to return to Kyrgyzstan, there is so much to explore, and its cheap as hell, I spent 500 euros for 3 weeks(a busride of 8h cost 4 euros). The flight was the most expensive.
And It was my first time on a horse, lucky for me it was very calm and knew the way on its own(luckily the horses are much smaller than at home).

Uzbekistan would probably be my real first choice though, just for the Tamerlane aspects. It's that flight time which keeps me away mostly. Going to Europe took long enough, I don't like to think about a longer flight and more delays and cab rides!
