The Liberation of Veccavia

"Men, we are staying here until all of the mettenheim and all of the ebony gauntlets regroup here, we are not charging in there by ourselves and frankly I would want the Mettenheim soldiers to lead the charge into the palace. Lets first have our medics take care of as many knights as they can before we charge."

//ooc: well i meant prepare, to get ready... //

*Suddenly Blaze collapses...his berzerkers, shocked, hurridly brought him to see Jeff

10 minutes later....

*Pierre runs up to Sir Aranor and says "M'lord Grandmaster, Blaze old wounds returned ( that arrow earlier) ,he is now under the care of Jeff , the Berzerker's very own medic....He gave me command of the remaining berzerkers, however, he are too few in number (only to be an indepandent strike force, we place ourselves under ur command, M'lord and we hope to protect you and Queen Boadice as bodyguards if possible!" *

Aranor walks over to the injured Blaze

"You did good Blaze, Astrea watches over you."

Aranor incoporates the berzerkers into his personal guard, and they continue to wait for the mettenheim

Blaze responded
"Thanks You , M'lord Aranor...I wish that archer hadnt' got so lucky...May Astrea aid you in the final push.."

(ooc:I put myself injured as im not gonna free in the next few days , only fidning time to post once in a while as the most important exam of my year is here,starting on Monday i will be less active to maybe October 11)

Aranor looks at his men, wounded, dying, and is disgusted.

Aranor calls for the men's attention.

"Everyone! The false queen is a heathen enemy of Astrea, and has ordered the deaths of our brothers. You all know what we do with enemies of Astrea..."

The knights that could stood and grabbed torches from the palace courtyard walls

"ON THREE! ONE, TWO, THREE! BURN THE PALACE!"

the knights threw their torches through the windows, on the roof, lit the door, even shoot burning arrows into the arrow slits.

The crackle of fire could be heard from within the palace.
Aranor closed his eyes, "Astrea please remember the knights who sacrificed their lives in your name this day,"

Aranor told the knights who could still fight
"If any person tries to escape, wound and capture them."
The knights stood near the burning door, waiting for the trapped veccavians to try and escape.

Aranor looked at Boadice, "Do not worry, your sister is a coward and will most definetly try to escape, plus, this will serve as a little preview for the eternity you will sentence her to yourself,"

Aranor walked out the door of the Palace, and knelt in prayer.

As the ebony gauntlets move into the main keep and gaze upon the blazing palace, Aranor returns and says
"Knights, our job is done. Lets move out."
the knights march out, carrying their dead and wounded with them out of the inner city.

Aranor leaves the inner city gate and sees Wolfarmin

"The deed is done, the palace is in flames."

suddenly Rineheart comes from nowhere

"Aranor! Some of our knights found a pile of dead bodies! Children! Women!"

Aranor gritted his teeth.
"Say the last rites for them."

behind him smoke rised in the distance from the palace

seeing the palace wolfarmin grins

maybe now we can finaly return home and another thing i think if you didn't had done what you did the koteg grandmaster would have let you all die, excellent thinking on your part m'lord

*Blaze walked out of his tent and saw the burning palace*
He then grin...."Just like old times"

Tells Jeff,the medic :"How's my wound"

Jeff Replies: Knowing you, you would probably go out as soon as possible, however, i will only be bandaging and patching up your wound. You will have to remove your armour, dontworry the wound will heal in a matter of days or weeks, I will keep the armour for you"

"Thanks Jeff,there's still alot of wounded here, please help them......"

*Blaze continues sitting inside the medic tent, pondering on stuff*

10 minutes later....

*He then walk towards the palace walls, to survey the carnage of the palace, any to take comfort from the flames of the war*

// Gonna try mixing this thing up and switching this to first person. Wonder if it'll work...

I lifted my hand, blearily seeing the bloodied gauntlet grip a rough cobblestone, which I used to lever myself forward. The world took a hazy feel to it, and I very nearly passed out. "Damnit. They must have shot me in the charge-" I whispered to myself, before being broke off by a haggard cough.

"Help... Astrea help me!" I tried to yell, but it came out as more of a whisper. The world became red around the edges, then slowly faded away... It was like the times being on the Noldor racks, but this time, I wasn't sure if I would get healed when it was over.



When I awoke, the only thing I saw was white. Then a face resolved above me. "Sir, are you okay?" I managed weak nod, recognizing him, barely. He was one the medics for Bravo, the company I used to lead. He had turned around while I was trying to puzzle out who he was, waving for someone to come. "It'll be all right. We found you just in time. A Dawn knight found you, laying there in a pool of blood big enough that he was sure you are dead. But we Ebony Gauntlets don't die easy, eh?" He chuckled and then handed me a bottle of brandy. "For the pain. If you don't want it, that's fine."

I took the bottle, clasping his hand. "Send for Harlequin, " I said before looking at the bottle in my hand with bemused interest.

Blaze began moving to the palace walls to inspect the damage. He is overall very pissed, because 8 of his berzerkers did not live to see the day.

"Damn it, we lost our best javelineer, Irontooth" Blaze spoke to himself...

Pierre and the rest of the berzerkers still in fighting shape are waiting for survivors of the burning of palace.

"Serve the Veccavian bas***** right for taking so many men with them"

Wolfarmin orders his knights to mount there to patrol the city for any Vaccavian stragglers

Finally my trusted steed we are reunited, do I have permission.

With a slight nasiliy grunt the horse (März) slightly bends his knees and lowers his head

Thank you, now everyone on horses go in pairs and patrol the city the rest get in squads and patrol, I shall go alone

Thinking that he could find a place to rest Wolfarmin leaves in a direction away from the rest of the knights, but of course there is no rest for the weary as Wolfarmin walks down a narrow street he hears speaking in a foreign tongue and tightly grips his lance then speaking stops and Wolfarmin notices his shadow on the ground,but before he can react a horse burst from the corner and Wolfarmin quickly goes into action chasing the man on the horse it is fast almost faster than März. Wolfarmin pules a throwing spear from his back and aim for the man on the and throws with deadly speed and accuracy, the man falls from the horse with a letter in his hand, Wolfarmin tried to read but could not understand the language so he put it in the bag on his horse and returns to the alley where the vocies came from but found no one was there so he continued on until he found a desert home with a bed calling to him, the door could fit his horse through it so he goes in closes the door by them and falls asleep but not before telling his horse to wake him if anything comes up

Thaddeus snores loudly, laying among a bunch of dead archers ontop of the palace walls. He had passed out after an archer shot an arrow into his bumcheek, the added pain from everything being too much for him. His comrades climbed up the rope and easily dealt with the archers, but where unable to identify Thaddeus, thinking that he had advanced on. Thaddeus lay there, with an arrow protruding from his backside.

He awakes, and quicky attempts to get up, but finds that he is unable to move, every movement feeling like a massive pin inside him. He then attempts to roll over onto his backside but the arrow protruding from his rear would make it extremely painful, and he reconsiders. He looks around with his limited vision to see the palace in flames.

Nobody was in sight.

"I need help!"

Blaze was walking along the walls of the palace.Many corpses, mostly veccavian archers littered the floor.

"Fine men"He tought."Too bad the women here are so bloody wicked that they wasted the skills of this men, they would've made fine soldiers in Pendor

He was wearing only the Order of the Dawn's robe meant for higher rank knights...As he just recovered , he did not bring his double headed axe with him, he is armed only with a Fierdsvain Leaf Sword, that he and other huscarls used frequently against enemies. He is thinking about what happen after this invasion, with so many men dead.QUeen Boadice would take her rightful place.However, he also misses it, like seasoned Fierdsvain warriors misses the war.His berzerkers motto also confirms it, the motto being " We Dont Kill to Live!We Live to Kill!

Suddenly, among the corpses infront of him, he heard a muffled sound and something moving...he ran towards the location sword at ready.....His battle-rush back, the wound only slightly slowing him.

What he saw wasnt an enemy soldier, but a wounded Foot Knight of Ebony Gauntlet.He immediately, recognised him, it was the foolish-but-brave guy who slingshot himself towards the walls.......

Are you okay,Knight??

He immediately pulled him out of the corpses, knowing fresh air would do him good.

"You there!"He pointed to a knight below the walls"Get me a medic , now!" The knight immediately ran towards the encamped Knights.

"Hang On, knight, medics are on its way"

Blaze is still too weak to carry or bring the fully armoured knight back to the medical camps.

(Blaze still doesnt know its Thaddeus, recognising him only as the footknight that launches himself into the walls)

The few Veccavian resistors were lined up against the warehouse walls. Varis walked passed them, eying in particular the instigator of the entire group. Her eyes still had the fire of contempt, even after being shamefully subdued and bound by the Dawn. Walking up to Sir Andreas, Varis ordered an update on the situation.
Laying down a crude map on an overturned box, Andreas outlined the knights progress, "the second column have been having it easy with very little resistance. They were able to take down a runner fleeing from the warehouse, outside of that none of the resistors escaped."
Varis turned his head back and looked at the captured group before returning to the map, "So about a dozen of them were in there?"
Andreas pointed to the warehouse that the rebels had barricaded on the map, "looks about right, once the men are finished clearing the adjacent storage buildings we'll be able to get a proper count."
An sweat-faced squire interrupted the two, "sirs I believe you would want to see this."
Looking at each other the two knights beckoned the young man to lead on, as the young initiate brought them to the waterside and pointed towards the palace.
Squinting against the sun, Varis and Andreas watched the smoke rise from the besieged palace, catching a few stalks of fire that blazed from its towers.
"By the goddess, will there be anything left for the Queen once this battle is done?"
"For the sake of this kingdom let us hope so Andreas."
Varis walked up back the street as Andreas followed, making his way towards his mount.
"Continue to secure this quarter and hold the area until further orders."
"Yes Captain. But what of the prisoners?" Andreas asked.
Weighing his options, Varis made a decision, "keep them bound and under close watch in one of these warehouses, order the other column to take any resistor prisoner if they can, and have them brought here."
Andreas saluted, "As you will."
Varis brought together an escort and they galloped towards the palace.

*While waiting for the medics to arrive, Blaze attempts to talk to that Knight to try and relieve some of his pain*( Im gonna help u RP a little, Deadr0th, pm me if u dont like it)

Blaze: Whats You name Knight?

Knight: Thad...deus

*Thaddeus managed to see Blaze clutching his stomach too*

Thaddeus : You're....injured?

Blaze:Sadly, yes, well after we get back to Pendor, how bout i buy you a round of ale in Javiksholm.Finest ale in all of Pendor. By the way, I Bloody hate the wine the citizens of the empire lands drink, like rotten grapes...Your action(where u launched yourself into the walls) managed to distract the archers and saved several of the Dawn, including me, as the archers were aiming at me and my men.

*Blaze grins after remarking the taste of the wine.*

Thaddeus coughs

"Augh, I got something in my throat" "Now, see that arrow protruding out my ass? I want you to pull it out, really fast"

ooc: Seriously, i love the way u speak. Blunt.

Ic: Blaze"Aww, crap, im not a medic but what the hell...."

"Aww, its gone quite deep, okay, on count to 3 i will pull it. 1....2....3!"

Blaze pulls that arrow out of his ass.

Thaddeus shouts in pain..

The Medics are currently making their way up the walls, nota s fast as normal soldiers as they have to run acroos many corpses

Thaddeus shouts slowly turn into laughter

"I bet that is a hilarious story to tell your men" "Dear diary, I pulled an arrow out of a KOTeG's ass"

Thaddeus rolls onto his back

"Now help me up, one of my arms is useless, and my leg is broken."

"Hahaha, good lord, im wounded too, i will try"

Blaze tries to pull that knight up, after several atempts

"Bloody hell,you're too heavy, wait, i got an idea.

Using a broken spear as a fulcrum, slowly , he manages to get Thaddeus to lean on the walls.
"okay, medics are here, be seeing you soon"


*The Medics arrived*

The broken spear snaps even further, Thaddeus falls to the ground, shouting many curses as his weight crushes his broken leg.

Blaze curses..."Blast It!Sorry,Thaddeus..........."

One of the medics , pulls him up and puts him on a stretcher... then they descend back to the medical camps.Blaze heads back to his tent, to clean his robe and get a new one.

Before the medics leave, Blaze spoke to Thaddeus "Thank Astrea that i brought some ale to Veccavia, lets have a round and sorry bout that" Blaze winks

Thaddeus snores loudly on the stretcher as his comrades try to carry him off. The medics requisitions two more men to help carry the big, heavy knight.

Sometime later...in a medical tent.

*Thaddeus felt someone was watching him and immediately opened his eyes...it was Blaze*

Blaze: Hey, I managed to get this...

*Blaze was holding a mug..........of ale!*

Blaze: Javiksholm standard , like i promised!

Blaze grins...

Thaddeus snatches the mug with his capable arm and begins pouring the ale into his mouth, chugging it all.

He drops the mug which bounces off the ground.

"That's refreshing" Thaddeus sighs

One of the female vecavvian medics enter the tent, holding a tray of sharp objects and tools

"You're going to have to leave" She demands, and Blaze is shoved outside

Thaddeus's voice is heard through the tent

"No! Wait! Please! I surrender, don't hurt me!" Thaddeus trys to say as his voice becomes inaudible.

Blaze rushes in to see what has happened

"He's fainted" she grins

Blaze, his cheery manner gone reacts immediately

Blaze: Let me see him! ...

*He saw an unconcious and bloody Thaddeus*

Blaze immediately sends a lingering retainer of the dawn to get Jeff , his berzerker's medic and drews his sword.

Blaze shouts : Is this your doing!(while pointing the sword at the nurse)
