Read a report from Montaigne about three Brazilian natives visiting France in mid-16th century. They commented about how astonished they were in seeing a band of tall, strong, long-bearded (a big thing since natives have almost no body or facial hair) and heavily armored men (the bodyguards) obeying a puny child (the king). In their own words, the natural order would be the guards making an election among themselves and choosing a better leader.

Well, that's an interesting thing to find out about. So they would provide suffrage to the strong - sounds like a quick route to tyranny, although perhaps not as quick as hereditary monarchy (And tyrants have risen under almost any system, even democracy with universal suffrage when corruption allowed it).

Don't be silly, it is not as if Haegon would send him overseas and sabotage the ship in order to kill the son of the former king Mordred and the lord who killed Aelos the would have been crown prince.

I other news, King Haegon came down with a sudden case of death after a mailed fist came into contact with his face.

I've been contemplating writing a similar rumor for you in the Groggy Griffon. Something along the lines Sarleon being abuzz with the news and hushed reports you've been having trouble eating or speaking for the past few days.

Along with rumours that the Grandmaster of the Griffons suffering a similar affliction.

With arena stats second to the king, Darlion would punch back.
