OOC - Thread

It would be good to know if any of you guys wants to participate, or if you are all completely busy with the other event for your order, which I know nothing about. If you would like to participate, but all your player characters are unable to attend, we can talk about allowing you to create generic one-shot characters.

I may join if I get an OK from Centurion. Maybe Daedroth will come. Not sure yet.

Do you know when you will have the opportunity to talk to him? Also, would you want to be present at the meeting with the duke, or just jump in later?

I will jump in later, I am currently pre-occupied with business in our order.

I'll be there long enough to greet the Duke and discuss a little. After that I have some stuff to "discuss" with the low-lifes of Laria. should be interesting.

Regarding the camp: How well hidden imagine you it to be? Is it in any way fortified?

fidelity is the second in command of all the ebony gauntlets and is therefore a knight of the realm.

the camp is placed upon a large defensible hill and made in the roman fashion.

trees are cleared from around the area to create a killing zone and then used to make palisade walls.

Regarding the camp; you say it is on a hill, fidelity talked about a meadow. Please sort this out.

Since its a darn fortified camp with walls and all, it'd be near impossible to hide for long. Taking that into consideration, I've invited a Griffin to come spar if he wanted.

"All camps no matter how little they will be used will be developed in the Roman style and hilariously over developed." To quote Centurion. Basically, we're talking a pretty big camp, very heavily fortified, very well laid out, and very hard to capture. These field camps take 6 hours for a trained force to set up, and however many more you want on expanding fortifications. Since I'll be ordering at least half my men to concentrate on entrenching this thing as much as possible, this place is gonna be hard to take if anyone decides they want to.

How will it be guarded? Just by watchtowers and guards at the gates, or will you also send out small squads into the forest?

There will be staggered 10 person patrols. The rest will either be with me or protecting the camp. They'll be patrolling the surrounding countryside around 1KM from the base.

Your Grandmaster is right about not making stuff up. You are very welcome to say that you go to the tavern (in fact a city like Laria would have more than one) and start your investigation, but what you find there und where this leads you, is for me to describe.

The city gates will be closed at night, by the way. So you will always have to decide how many people you want to have inside the city during the night. Delivering messages during the night will also be much more difficult.

By the way, you are fully entitled to hate Aldric of Marleon even more than the other Silvermists. His father actually was a Knight of the Ebony Gauntlet in his version. Don't know how well that works with his whole chastity thing, though.

Fidelity? I guess you will be quite busy with handling your own event? Do you think that will interfere with your participation here? If the answer was yes, it would probably good to talk about this in some form.

I can still handle posting on both, I probably just won't be able to so often.

He is, you were asked a while ago on the GM boards Centurion but I got no reply so I assumed you were not interested. I know now that you are, but Fidelity stepped up before then when we had an opening.

I assume the fresh new player(s) are not going to join here but participate in your other event? Just want to make sure nobody is holding back here, should he want to participate and his character is available.

Yea he's going to the main Gauntlet event (Kinda funny since the "main" event only has 1 person.)
