IC-Scene: Rebache (Continuous)

"Yes I am, one of your "associates" was most forthcoming once he found himself between a rock and my sword so you can consider me well informed about your dealings with them.

I have some questions for you on that subject but first shall we not retire to somewhere more private?"

Seph then lead the 4 men into the great hall motioning for Kalam and 4 guards to join him.

Olaf examined 4 man and square, and said to Seph "Only 5 man to even the equation? you underestimate my friends Sir Knight, a mistake i wouldn't suggest repeating with my "associates" as you call them. Anyway its good that the one who spoke to you about me is no longer with us, good for him at least. You spoke about questions, so lets hear them shall we."

"Do not underestimate us sheriff, you are in a village full of our men and their are more right outside the doors.

Now I'm going to make you an offer and the future of our relationship will depend upon your answer.

I am going to offer you 50 denar now and 50 denar later for the location of every one of these lions hideouts.
If you accept and your information is correct then this will be the start of a very profitable friendship for us both.

So, are we going to be friends?"

"I would love to help you to exterminate those bandits, but i have no idea where they are Sir Knight, i am just law abiding Sheriff, and would love to kill them all as much as you do trust me" Olaf spoke loudly obviously mimicking serious voice, then he leaned closely to Seph and whispered with a smile "Those Lions make me more money, then you could ever offer me kid."

Hearing this Seph smiles at which point Kalam leaves the room.

"These lions of yours will soon be dead whether you help me or not, the only question here is whether you profit from it or not, I'm sure you will find new ways to make money once they are gone.


Meanwhile Kalam gathers up the horses of the sheriff and his men and removes them to another stable well out of sight of the towerhouse before gathering up the barons 4 knights and taking up a position just outside the great hall.

Now olaf laughed, hard. "Your ignorance and confidence amuses me, that's why i am gonna be honest with you, what makes you think, that even if you managed to destroy knights of the lion it would make things better? "

"I don't care if it makes things better, they have attacked peasants who serve my lord and for that I will kill them, you can assist me in which case I will be happy to give you a fair share of the loot and we can come to an arrangement that will make us both wealthy men in the years to come.

Or you can refuse.

Seph then whistles once at which point the 4 guards ( Regulars ) All raise their bows and place arrows on the strings, seconds later the doors open and Kalam marches in 4 knights moving with practiced ease to flank him with swords drawn and shields in place forming a solid wall of steel.

Without breaking step the knights with Kalam in the center take up position 5 meters from the sheriff and his men whilst the guards position themself to the flanks of the knights bows aimed at the sheriff and his men.

"Now I would suggest you accept my offer, if you should refuse or attempt to draw a weapon you will be disarmed or killed where you stand."

After this pronouncment the only sound heard is the solid clunk of bolts sliding home as the doors are locked from the outside.

Ryn tried to jump up, but olaf stopped him.Olaf himself looked around evaluating his chances, but soon smile appeared on his face. "And what if i told you, i have no idea about any hideouts or where they are? But go ahead, and kill me, the Sheriff of Mobray! See you in hell after you get executed for this crime."

"Then I would call you a fool, but a fool you are not.
You know better then to trust those lions so I'm sure you know where to find them incase they should turn on you.

Now, one at a time slide your weapons to my feet and stay in your chairs whilst you do, one false move and my men will demonstrate the benefits of being trained by the Crimson Bow."

Olaf and his companions gave away weapons slowly gave away weapons.

"Ok i don't seem to have a choice, how would you plan to kill them? i might organize it, must admit i got one or two contacts even if it doesn't fit for a sheriff."

" I do not intend to kill them, if you can not tell me where to find the hideout I need somebody who can, when they arrive I will take a few of them alive and kill the rest.

You will remain here as my "guest" until the lions are dealt with since it is evident you can not be trusted to act in the best interst of the people.
Now you will tell me how you contact the lions in complete detail and I will send a man to arrange things, if anything should happen to that man then you shall meet with a most tragic accident, the roads around here are most dangerous after all it would be a shame for you to be found dead on the side of the road but it will be blaimed on the lions I am sure, wouldn't that be ironic my dear sheriff? "

the squire got up and walked across the courtyard, he hadnt been told to stay pit so no one bothered him. He had seen the sherrif of mobray enter this building, maybe he had seen the man who was to get the message. He entered the building and saw a locked door with a pair of guards standing there looking bored.

Why are you guarding that door?

The young mans curiosity was palpable.

Olaf heard some commotion from outside, and after thinking briefly he decided it wasn't worth it, he turned back to Seph.

"There is the problem Sir Knight, only i can contact lions, they will trust no one else, you see if it was other way, someone would have already killed them using such a trick. However if you don't trust me that much i may offer you to keep Ryn as a hostage, he is my brother from my other mother, and probably i never loved another human being as much as i love him. But only if you promise to keep not hurt him, if i do as you ask." This time Olaf looked genuinely serious.

"This is acceptable, but my squire and 2 of my men will escort you, if you should attempt any trickery they will ensure you do not live to regret it and trust me my good sheriff, my squire is an excellent shot.

Is this acceptable?"


Meanwhile the 2 guards on the door smile politely at the squire.

"Kindly return to your room or leave this building squire or we shall be forced to detain you, we are under strict orders that nobody intterupts this meeting."

"Hmm.. only your squire and he will have to wear simplier clothes, another bow. They know i don't go to meetings with something more then one bodyguard, same goes for them only one man and bodyguard. Oh and you will have to give me my weapons back. I don't want to risk that your squire screws this up and i end up butchered by Lions together with him."

"Fine, but you will hand over all of your money first."

the young man looked confused but took a step back towards the door

Alright, but im looking for the sherrif I saw come into this building. You haven't happened to see him have you? I just want to deliver my letter and be on my way. I can give you some silver if it helps you remember.

privately he thought to himself: what kind of meeting takes place behind a barred and locked door with guards that didn't mean one of the participants was there unwillingly

Olaf lingered for a second, but then took a pouch and gave it to Seph. "I will get them and my bonus back, when you deal with knights of Lion, right?"

OOC: There is 80gold in the pouch.

"Your money will be returned once it is done, your bonus shall depend on the outcome, if all goes as planned and we locate and destroy the bandits lair then yes you shall recieve your bonus."

Seph then motions towards one guard who banging on the door and whispering a phrase into it is allowed out, he then returns 2 minutes later with 4 additional men at which point Kalam, 2 knights and the 8 guards remove the 2 wardens and Ryn locking them up in cells in the dungeon, at this point 4 militia arrive to stand guard with the dungeon door also locked from the outside and a 5th militia standing guard on it.
The guards have strict orders to be polite but not to open the doors or move within an arms reach of the cells for any reason and to allow nobody but mysel or the baron to enter.

Returning to the hall seph nods to Kalam who promptly leaves again to return several minutes later in normal clothing with his armor hidden beneath and his weapons still in place and then hands Olaf his weapons back the remaining 2 knights watching him carefully.

You will be travelling on foot and that is not up for negotiation, is their anything else before you leave?"

"So we avoid this latter, i need a note, which will be sent trough my messenger, a not should say, "Today when the sun is at zenith, in usual place." so your squire doesn't have any more questions."

Seph shrugs then holds out a piece of paper and a quill and ink then leaves the room motioning for 1 of the knights to join him.

Once out of hearing range he turns to the knight.

"Gather 3 regulars and collet the horses the sheriff came on, once he leaves you follow him discreetly, do not be seen, if he should betray Kalam then kill him where he stands is that understood?"

The knight then bowing gathers the men and horses and positions himself out of sight of the entrance to wait.

Olaf quickly entered tavern, and quickly found a man he was searching for.He gave him a note, and the man understood him without words.Then he left rebachee towards the meeting place.
