| I'm all up for a team match with Boar sometime. I can think of quite a few tactics the two could use together.

You can? Uhoh! Perhaps Varys and I will have to try to take out Boar the way people tried to take out Porthos... - Spoiler:
We just need to lure him into a cave, when he's in his like, 70s, and then let it collapse on him!

| Wow, Mordred. I feel... so... so stupid for not thinking of that one.
I even brought that up with Varys previously, when he mentioned, well... his particular set of skills!
It's perfect, mainly because it involves slightly deeper RP than mere fighting.

| The Boar's constitution seems a bit too high for that to work. It'd likely just make you waste money.
Which would disappoint and frustrate you.
Which would worsen your concentration for the fight.
...
...
Actually, go ahead and do it.

| Actually, I have a better idea.
We're going to kill him with breakfast. Porthos, if I recall correctly, mentioned (after he became a Baron, of course) that he likes to eat omelets made with 300 eggs.
Now we know that so many yokes will kill a man... please excuse me while I use RL knowledge that my character couldn't possibly know to my advantage IC.

| His father was a maker of these. So there. - Quote :
Maybe some spearpoints peeking from it too? Now that you mention it, it did seem strange that it stank like rotten human meat. But... nah. PoP 4 is still 19 years away. This guy is just a scout for what is it come.

First thing I thought of when I saw the Boar was Gregor Clegane..and Varys uses a spear.. - Spoiler:
I think it's time to take a few tips from Oberyn Martell.

| A spear is really a good weapon, if you use it right(or if you use it like an Aiel) | |

| Spears are exceptional weapons. However, we're both fast fighters using the same weapon... against a giant and a thrower. | |

| We just need our own Tyrion to be Mordred's new Chancellor. And... as much as I dislike overt fantasy elements spoiling a good political drama... - Spoiler:
I could make an exception with Ana riding on a dragon, purging the wicked with dragon fire. >.>

Just learn how to light your sword on fire like Thoros. You'll be able to kill and burn Heretics at the same time!

| I've been sorely tempted to ask about something like that more seriously at various times. I've refrained, because if I get something cool and magical, it wouldn't be fair if others didn't. And simply, I prefer to keep magic very, very limited. Soo... I would rather nobody, than everybody, have a flaming sword I've prefered to think of heating a sword up so that it glows orange, and then stabbing instead of slashing for executions and the like. It may make the blade too weak to effectively do that though, soo... I'll stick to burnings | |

| Fairly sure the red priests don't use magic to alight their blades, but instead some form of chemical compound that the blade is coated in that easily ignites. | |

| What is done in book 1, and explained at some point later, I think book 2: - Spoiler:
The steel is soaked in wildfire, so that it gets into the blade itself, then lit for a tournament. This weakens the blade, and Thoros broke at least one at some point. It's also a one time thing, as the blade is ruined. King Robert loves it though, and so buys a new one for Thoros each time.
Later books, either 3 or 4: - Spoiler:
It is in fact magic, The Lightning Lord (Dondarion or some such), after being resurrected by Thoros multiple times, simply cuts his hand and uses his blood to ignite the blade.. true magic.
